  1. Evening everyone, Not posted on here for a while I don't think but I interviewed my 7th former Oldham player at the weekend after meeting Mike Lester in Manchester's Northern Quarter for a couple of drinks. Mike joined Oldham as a schoolboy and went right the way through before making his debut on Boxing Day 1972. Scored 2 goals in 29 appearances during his time at Boundary Park before moving to Man City. Mike spoke about being extremely happy as a kid at Oldham, his full first team debut at Brentford and smashing his knee playing for the reserves. If you've not had a look at the website before, if you click on our Oldham section you'll also find interviews with ex-players Bruce Grobbelaar, David Cross, Paul Jones, Andy Holt, Asa Hartford and Mike Flynn. http://mytimeinfootball.com/Mike_Lester
  2. I thought exactly the same. Bruce chuckled to himself after he gave us the answer, though. And he definitely said: "Hold' em!" Didn't make any sense to me but I thought I'd chuck it in anyway!
  3. Evening everyone, Our latest ex-Oldham player to feature on the website is Bruce Grobbelaar. Only made a handful of appearances for Oldham but a few Oldham fans submitted questions so there is a bit of content at the end. The rest of the interview is quite interesting anyway, with Bruce talking about winning the European Cup for Liverpool as well as loads of other stuff. http://mytimeinfootball.com/Bruce_Grobbelaar
  4. Thanks for the kind comments, makes it worthwhile, it really does. I'm based in the North West, so there's plenty more Oldham players to go on the website soon.
  5. Exclusive interview with FA Cup winner David Cross, who had a spell at Oldham in the 80s towards the end of his career, is now on My Time In Football. http://mytimeinfootball.com/David_Cross
  6. Evening everyone, Thanks for the kind comments we received on our Andy Holt interview. Glad you enjoyed it. Andy really did speak fondly about Oldham when we spoke to him so I'm glad that came across. We've uploaded an interview with defender Paul Jones who played at Oldham in the mid 80s. Paul shares quite a funny story about when he signed for Oldham under Joe Royle, which is worth a read. The interview can be found here: http://www.mytimeinfootball.com/Paul_Jones Any Oldham fans on here who use Facebook or Twitter, I'd be really grateful if you could share the interview so other Oldham fans can read it. Facebook: www.facebook.com/mytimeinfootball Twitter: www.twitter.com/timeinfootball Got a few more ex-Oldham players to upload to the website over the next couple of weeks so please feel free to keep in touch with us on Facebook/Twitter and you'll know every time we put a Oldham interview up. Cheers, My Time In Football
  7. Evening everyone, Not posted on here before but we've uploaded an interview with former Oldham player Andy Holt, which I thought might interest you. Andy talks about starting his career at Boundary Park, marking Zola in the FA Cup against Chelsea and hitting the beer the night before an away game at Bournemouth. We've got loads more Oldham players we're speaking to over the next few weeks so please feel free to keep in touch with us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/mytimeinfootball) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/timeinfootball). Interview can be found here: http://www.mytimeinfootball.com/Andy_Holt Thanks, My Time In Football
