I thought they would have hung the camera from the new stand. Maybe a detail that was unaffordable. The Main Stand is not high high without obstructing views.

There are a few things stacked up on the to do list. The first two on my list would be players to keep us up and a new pitch to play football that will increase attendances above the present 3,500 faithful.

My thought was corney may have used a match highlights package to help attract potential investors, which showing it with the north stand may have helped with.

But totally agree, they're the priorities

Where the camera is positioned at the moment is comical. It's not even in line with the halfway line and because it of where it is and its height, the camera man has to constantly swivel it making fast play borderline dizzy. Nothing will happen probs.

It's ridiculous. May write to the club as a suggestion but like you said, nothing will happen.

  3. This may be a minor issue, and I know we have bigger things to worry about, but...

Does anyone else feel we should get a camera angle from a higher vantage point? Because I live in Plymouth I very rarely see games at BP, I actually felt we played more attractive football yesterday than we usually do at home, purely because I was sat higher than the highlights usually show at home.

Don't get me wrong, I know we probably weren't playing as nice football as usual. Just feel that a higher vantage point does make it more attractive, or is that just me?

    Based on what?

Well, in theory under corney, when we're struggling to have any money with our attendance figures, we'd have even less in league 2 due to a drop in support. With AL, he may have some cash to offset that reduction in gate receipts, and can afford to keep us up.

Just a theory, and like I said, I hope it never comes to that.

EDIT: and don't think it will, I think we'll be fine this season

I would hope that if the team gets relegated, the new injection of funds will be enough to stop the fall from going any further...as in non-league football...and also enough to build and achieve a considerable momentum. Of course I wholeheartedly agree that relegation is not a desirable outcome and the club should do everything it can to avoid it.

That's what I was getting at, under corney I think if we were to go down, we'd drop several leagues such as Stockport, Tranmere have done. But under AL with a bit more cash (even if not that much) we'd have a much greater chance of surviving and building long term.

But then the new guy eventually wants his own players in. So all change again.

At some point we have to ride out a bad run, back the manager and build for the future. I like how Wellens goes about things, his “football philosophy” ? is one that should bring fans back and he has a genuine affection for the club. If we’re going to stick by anyone he seems like the right fit.

Completely agree. Now that we have (or soon will) an owner who is not scraping the barrell for funds each month, I would rather keep wellens, even if we got relegated. With the money we could bounce back, in the same way many teams do.

Obviously I'd rather not be in that situation at all, but a league two team who trusts the manager playing nice football to build on to eventually get to the championship in 5 years, is a much more exciting prospect than changing managers every 6 months and staying 17th in league one for the next 5.

In the AFL during trade period, players get to nominate their clubs.

It is a rule that has always baffled me given my football heritage.

On the other hand, I do get to choose where I want to apply for positions if I should ever want to leave my current job.

But you don't get to choose where you go on a training course, which is what a loan effectively is
