garcon
...how several of those condemning a terrible performance and calling for Shez's head weren't even at the game. And it seems a good number of those that were there either got confused on their way for a pie/pint/piss at half time and left, or were sat in the RRE and are significantly overdue for an eye test. Shez IN. i went today, was sat in the chaddy end,saw the whole game unfold before my very eyes, and couldnt believe what the manager has said after the game. no bloody good playing well for 20 mins second half, what happened to hit the ground running, take the innitiative at home and get at them from the first whistle. didnt happen did it,and lets be totally honest, apart from stockport, the last 5 or 6 games have been pretty poor, and the performances the same. we are imo, only in this league position because the teams around us havent capitalised on our poor games, had the top 5 been playing anything like leicster,we would be midtable at best. like i have said elswhere,im not a shez inner or outer, happy clapper or doom n gloomer,i just cant accept performances like today and be happy with it,its these kind of games and performances over the season that you look back and see where we lost the chance to go up. even if we had won today, and somebody asked me how we played,i would have to have said shyte, but we scraped a win. garcon
ed, I agree the first half was awful. But I thought apart from a ten minute breather in the middle we were good for the whole second half. Yes, often the final ball wasn't there, but we still had enough chances to draw a MOM performance from their keeper. I think we're in the position we're in because we're no more or less consistent than the teams around us - something that has been the case for the teams around the playoffs in this division for as many seasons as I can remember. As Shez himself has suggested (but doesn't seem to be able to do much about) if we could improve on that consistency we'd be able to challenge for automatic.
