A certain centre-half deemed too old for the fourth division is currently over 100 minutes into a FA Cup third round reply against Premier League opponents 🤦🏼‍♂️

Looks like he might be playing against our illustrious, but fading neighbours in the next round?

Watford have severely disrespected the competition tonight. 3 first team players in the whole squad of 18. What happened to having to play 5 of the team from the previous game etc?

True but the % sell on we would have got because Tarky was sold by Burnley for £50 million would be not too far removed from what we got for selling Edmundson.

It all keeps the club going.

I'd think by looking through the books it would be possible to work our what Corney sold the Tarky well on fee for.

We wouldnt get a sell on clause with Burnley seeing as though we didnt sell him to Burnley......

PC scored for Fleetwood and Joe Jacobson grabbed a brace.

It was like skins v vests at Orient.

Brill and Wilkinson for Orient and Hunt Lydon and Doyle for Swindon. And Wellens.

Jacobson possibly a hat trick as his corner seems to go straight in for the second goal. But was awarded as own goal

  4. I walked out at the final whistle. I think the fans behaviour was disgusting at the end and didn't want to be part of it. Especially when nepomuceno came over hands aloft apologising and a certain group of fans started threatening him. He's given his all for the club for a couple years now. You can boo and refuse to clap but to physically threaten or grab players when they've been big enough to come over is not something I want to associate this club with. There were children getting escorted outside by liaison officers crying coz they were scared. Yesterday was bad second half. First half was good. We dominated and hit the post and put balls in the box. Two defensive errors an we were two down. Second half was bad. Nothing there. But two things I'd like to point out. 1 I think we have improved with each game so it might just click one day. And 2 I have been to umpteen games in the past few years that have been 100 times worse than the performance yesterday. So how people were angry enough to be threatening I don't no.

Hearing rumours on twitter that they give you a free pie with your pint at the Sparrow.

I used to work in Bradford and it's a shocking atmosphere in whichever pub u go so thought I'd see if a few latics fans where going somewhere in particular to get an atmosphere goin

I don’t think there’s many bigger shit holes than the area Valley Parade is in. Went with my Grandad a couple of seasons ago...

when I walked on to the main road and saw a sex shop adorned with pink neon window lights I decided to just take him in and get a pie*

    * The ground that is, not the sex shop

I was thinking more Bradford centre lol

I know I will get hammered for this but Sefil did well first half. With a experienced player alongside him he will do ok. Fans need to give the lad a break.

Having not been at the game and read comments on here I assumed he caused the whole breakdown. Having watched the highlights it looked as though he was the only one of the back four not at fault for the goals. For downings he wins the header then has to run to close his own clearance down coz noone else did. He's not great but as u said with someone telling him where to be he will be ok. Also ppl on here saying Branger-Engone came on n we conceded three. How an out n out winger caused us to concede three I'll never no. A lot of our players aren't very good. But we r in league two. We won't get decent players. But ppl jus can't deviate from he's shit even when someone has an ok or decent game

But they look shit so far.

Benteke had legs, urgency and effort.

We've always had a pretty large section of our support that has valued legs, urgency and effort over quality.

Running around a lot is not much good to a team unless such a workhorse is surrounded by other quality, and lots of it.

Even with how cheap most of this large squad of absolute punts must be we could surely have signed 8 "proper" players and padded them out with kids and punts for the same money...

    So, so stupid..

    Yet again.

By that Ur saying if Messi came here and made an effort he'd still be shit coz he hasn't got a team around him? Talkin bollocks. Benteke couldn't control a ball. Wilson and Azankpo especially have a good touch. I agree without players behind them they will struggle but what striker wouldn't struggle with one maybe two half chances all game? A lot has gone on at the club that none of us are happy about, but when we sign players like missiliou, Nepo, even Clarke when he first signed, ppl like u love to say FFS he's shit. Mills, Wilson, wheater, azankpo, woods all look like they r good signings. So there's five of Ur '8'. Fage also looks a player. And we will presumably get a couple of loans in again to make it up. The rest are squad fillers so in essence u have exactly what u wish for? Unless like Surridge and Lang last season, the loanees are chastised coz they r unknown. N how did they turn out?

  9. I feel sorry for Wilson and Azankpo. They have legs in them and urgency and effort. They could do a job. If only they had players behind them. I don't think Branger-Engone did anything wrong, Nepo was a bit greedy when he came on but did ok. Missiliou was good all game. Maouche doesn't belong deep so didn't have any impact from there. Mills is a top signing. He needs to drop back to RB and Hamer in the middle with Wheater. Struggling at LB coz the new guy was poor. The whole back four where poor to be fair. Stott needs an experienced head next to him. Sefil could be used as someone to win everything.... But only if he has someone telling him where to be! Back four where never in a straight line. Woods well speaks for itself saved us from 7-8. I'm quite a positive person and believe we have to go with wa we've got regarding owners, but my biggest problem is, wether its Mo picking the team or some guy at his computer in Japan, there's no excuse for a manager/coach to sit in the dry dugout and not move and inch all game! He made no attempt to gee the lads up, no attempt to change anything, no screaming and shouting. Nothing. And I can't be arsed talkin about Vera. Only plus point is he gives u a laugh

    You'd start Sefil?

You'd have Fage CM even though he played RB/RM (and impressed) against Halifax?

Yes because the Stockport game he won everything in the air whereas stott and iacovitti missed everything. He's a unit n that's what we need. Tranmere have a very similar CB, he's got rickets in him but he wins everything in the air. Stott and iacovitti are shocking in all departments. Unless stott is LB then he's ok. And I've only seen Fage play CM I didn't see the Halifax game *Sefil might not be the best but he's the best out of a shocking bunch*

Agree with the sentiment Chris but, this time, there has been a sea change in attitude amongst many. A poor start will a) see the core support drop to its lowest for a very long time and b) result in a very toxic atmosphere pretty quickly.

I still think it will be not far short of the usual support. I started suppoting when I was about 7, the season after we got relegated from prem. Twenty odd years of a downward spiral with no successful seasons apart from one or two play off challenges which failed miserably. Yet I still go because whatever happens it's still my team. However it's run or however bad we perform, its still my club. And I think more ppl than not, will be there at the start of the season. Even if they voice their concerns, they will still be screaming if we score and still singing after a win. We will never be a set of Blackpool supporters stopping games etc

  12. As much as anyone says how angry they are about the clubs state, disappointed in new players, anger over the Royle stand, boycotting this n that, we all know that come next week every one of us will either be there or listening or watching text updates supporting the lads. It's what we do. We moan n moan n we cry n scream but Oldham fans always back their team no matter what. Which is why I've converted a few red n sky blues to latics fans
