  1. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the reports and would love them to continue next season, but appreciate the work involved. A massive thank you to you all for a job brilliantly done!

I completely agree. Well done to the team. The flag has also put forward a positive side of Oldham Athletic to many away clubs and fans. I hope that the 'do' at the Rifle Range yesterday raised plenty of funds. I enjoyed the couple of hours I had there. Its a shame the club wasn't better represented. Well done to Deano, the only current player I saw attend.

  2. Taylor shows 100% commitment even if hes not having a particularly good game you cant fault his effort. With good management (hopefully Joe) he will thrive and become a more confident player who knows how to get out of trouble when the opposition have seemingly got him marked out of the game. I've also noticed that since Joe has returned, Chris has been photographed in the paper out meeting schoolkids, giving out prizes etc. making the players and the club more 'real' to the young potential fans.

  3. I doubt they sell many at full price anyway do they? I’d have thought that people who can’t get the money together or whose application was returned to them undelivered after three months (for example) probably just pay on the day. One idea from here which I am coming round to is a reduced price for maybe 16-19 year olds, it could stop them from losing the habit altogether and it would most likely make a ST decent value compared to lying at the gate and paying in as a kid anyway.

Good point I know of 3 17 year olds who don't go anymore, 3 empty seats loss of revenue say £250 this season lifetime lost customers £50K ?

  4. sadly i carn't see us getting back into the playoffs , so who is to blame for our bad results ? shez ? greagan hughes the tta the whole team and it all went wrong for us really after the dog race night ..

so who do you think is to blame ?

Results stated to go wrong after Christmas really and we've never picked up. Dog's night was just a sympton of what was going on although I must say I was there and saw little going on.

  5. maybe some of those police who are on "standby" could be told to wait at the top of the dirt road at the back of B&Q stop all the breakins ?

Or controlling traffic on Broadway at he corner near the car park exit as people leave the ground and attempt to cross Broadway. It is only a matter of time before a pedestrian gets run over. An old man came very close last Saturday. Sometimes, the police have stood on the pavement and watched the bedlam. Well I suppose they will be there to complete the paperwork if there is an accident!

  6. I have been going to Boundary Park for nearly 40 years and recently have been left feeling more and more like an away fan. I too have been displaced to the RRE and initially my husband and I found ourselves in the centre of the Stand and 'banter' with the Millwall fans brigade. We therefore moved ouselves towards the Lookers side of the RRE. Today we had to move again and also found ourselves sat in filthy seats almost on Shhepfoot Lane with a very displaced view of the pitch. (I couldn't see the RRE goal at all as everyone stood up when there was any excitement and at the angle I was at I couldn't see anything!) In the RRE stand, I admit the atmosphere is good, but you can't hear the PA system and the players warm up at the far end of the pitch and we are left with the visiting team. All this would be ok for the short term but realistically, when can you see the new stand being built? I will continue to come to Boundary Park but I must say the only positives are the performances (bar today) on the pitch.
