  1. Here is another one that Tiny Dancer has reminded me of.

How ironic that an Elton John song reminded me of this, and it wasn't the obvious link, it was just two words.

Anyone see Louis Theroux and the most hated family in America at weekend?

Now, whilst I am not religious in the slightest, I have little problem with those that do believe (unless they want to shove their beliefs down my throat), and I suppose in some way I do sort of want the whole thing to be true for the sake of both my parents.

That lot though were f**king nutters and preachers of intolerance, homophobia and just general hatred in anything they disagree with under an umbrella provided by a twisting of the messages in the bible. A little akin to those that practice terrorism under the guise that the Koran tells them it is the way to go.

Whilst I feel each to their own is a good concept to live by (unless you support C**y in which case you are and always be a first class c**t) the adults that chose to be part of it were brainwashing the innocent kids into believing this utter absurdity that they have chosen to live by.

There are links on the BBC website to clips and comments. Go and have a look if you didn't see it.

Oh, and the protests at the soldiers funeral (agree with the war in Iraq or not) were utterly distgusting.

    KtF,

    Derek.

Completely agree Derek, we watched it and I was disgusted at the way they made their children go with them. The kids didn't know what was going on or why they were there, they didn't know what the placards were all about. It annoyed me the way they put their kids in danger, that poor 7 year old who got a drink thrown at him from a passing car, and all they did was clean him up and carried on!! Maybe that's the same as taking Lucy to Latics, not sure why she's there, get's dragged along by her parents, drinks thrown on her in the pub?!!!

Although I do think that the older girl was the one who could have her thoughts changed, she seemed to take a shine to Louis and seemed quite sensible.

Full marks to the people at the funeral though. To keep their dignity and remember why they were there instead of going and smacking the protesters must have taken a lot!!

  2. All paid for honest guv!

OK I get it dead cheap from the shop at work. I am buying mainly shower gel and toothbrushes this month with this months allowance.

    KtF,

    Derek.

    Minty fresh shower gel?!!!!

What else can you buy Derek, maybe you can set up a little business selling on items?!! Cut price but top quality?!!

  3. The last time I had a puncture I was at my brothers house and Dan was having an away football trip!! I couldn't get the wheel off, neither could my brother or my dad.

I ended up ringing Mazda Rescue (or whatever thet're bloody called) and even the mechanic who came out to it couldn't get the wheel off :P In the end he smacked it with a hammer and it came off :D He put the stupid space saver thing on, very emabarrassing (sp) driving around with that on!!!

The good thing was when I rang up, they asked me if I was away from home and did I have any children with me. I replied 'yes, it's just me and my baby daughter (she was about 4 months old at the time)' I didn't tell them I was parked outside my brother's house and they turned up within 30 mins!!!

The time before that, I had a Fiesta and got a puncture coming off the M56 (at the A556 junction). I had a meeting at work so had a nice suit on, I didn't fancy changing the wheel so I rang work up for someone to come and help me :D:D

  4. He isn't called fool Webber is he, this bloke that works in Colubus village ?? :D

At the risk of a :computer: ...... Women have a vital role in business? Aye making brews, keeping the printer stocked wi.........

    Gulp.

No, he's not called that, works at a place called American Agricultural Insurance.

You forgot to mention making sure the biros in the stationery cupboard are all stocked up, and the colours are all kept together!

  5. Morning all!!

I always have a picture in my mind of people I deal with at work and I rarely get it right :) It's true that the people who make the effort to talk about other things than business get a quicker response from me!! If poeple remeber to ask about my family it always makes me want to sort their problems quicker!!

I deal with people all over the world, quite rarely in the UK. One of the people I speak to mostly works in Columbus Ohio, and it always takes us 5 or 10 mins of talking music, travels etc before we get onto the dull insurance world! He's a fab person, spent hours looking into options for us to get from Las Vegas to San Francisco for a family holiday once yet I have never met this guy, I don't know what he looks like but I feel that I know a lot about him :)

People in Argentina are very friendlt on the phone but very ignorant wheneve I've met them. Dan nearly smacked a bloke at a conference last year that I'd organised, he came and grunted at me that some equipment wasn't working, no please or thankyou. I smiled sweetly, changed his things and sent him on his way. Dan couldn't believe that sone people seem to think women still have no place in business!!!
