  1. it awful in there yesterday.

I moved away from there about 4 years ago because of all the bloody moaners. Now half the chaddy sit in the RRE which has killed tha chaddy and the RRE is half full or people who want to cheer the team on and half full of people who want to moan about standing and moan about players all game.

All game all i could hear was people moaning about standing and slagging our players off.

There are two sides to it. What the boring broadwayers were saying is ohh we payed to sit in here because that not here. Now we want to sit down and moan all game with a good view. Then there are everyone who wants to create a good atmosphere and cheers the team on.

Where every you sit in that stand its an excellent view.

So why not all the poeple who want to sit down in silence and moan about things and argue about being able to see the game.

The ones who want to stand and chant obviosuly want to be near the away fans where the atmosphere is.

Sorry for starting this up but i was so wound up yesterday and it spoilt the game before it had even started.

to be honest i am starting to regret gettin my season ticket for RRE. i want to stand with the singers but not when the average age round me is 13! the chaddy was good but half the match for me is atmos and i thought it would be better - tried looking round to see seats i could move to near the singers but away from the kids but i guess im out of luck! i do hate the moaning and booing of our side because it does absolutley nothing - booing when the games finished or when the players being subbed?? when they can't do anything? whats the point - just get behind the lads!!!

  2. Maybe you should clap slower then! The drummer did fine yesterday, people who decide to clap out of time with him aren't helping things at all. There have been loads of times this season where a song has started with plenty of backing and some have decided it would be much better if we sung it as fast as humanly possible. It normally ends with the vast majority stopping and the song dieing on it's arse. The 'Oh When the Blues' chant has been ruined by exactly this, what happened to a couple of seasons back when we could keep that going and going and going? I think it was Swindon away under talbot, we sung that solid for about 20 mins. We need to keep a steady pace and let it build. That's the reason 'sheridans blue and white army' generally works best out of all our songs.

maybe we should get a conductor to orchestrate it then! the drummers there for the benefit of the fans nd the singing - not the other way round plus when we start singing and everyones clappin its hard to hear the drum from where were sitting

  3. Sell him?

Bit drastic, he's got the potential to be a fantasic player. Just needs to get his head down... :getmecoat:

potential to be a great player? for too long we've carried this idiot - rose tinted glassess on everytime he puts in a bad performance and say hes still got potential. trouble is hes had a full season to prove it and he still hasnt!!!

embarrasment to wear the oldham shirt and im embarressed to say he plays for us!!!

  4. morning all

just a quick update on ernie's condition for everyone. apologies to people for not returning calls but its so hard getting back to everyone with news.

we visited him yesterday and he is in much the same condition. sleeping pretty much constantly now, just waking briefly every now and again.

the nurses assure us that he is no longer in pain, as the painkillers he is taking are alleviating as much as they can.

his girlfriend lou and his sister and dad are by his side constantly. he has many many friends visiting him, and we are all saying a prayer for him.

    martin

where is ernie at the moment ? hospital or home? i know i dont know him paersonally - only as a fan on the terraces but i just wanna do some thing for him, even if its just sending some flowers or best wishes...

  5. Seeing as we have nowt to play for, people want to slate players and management, why dont we get on with looking forward to the new season???

I have a coach for Crewe, but with one stipulation.......

  6. Erm.........I was hoping this wouldnt get announced until at least tomorrow when i at least get an email from the club to acknowledge my resignation, but it looks like its out now.

All i can say is........Thanks, thanks to everyone who has given me support through this extremely difficult decision. I never though it would be that hard a decision to make, but i guess i loved doing the job a little too much.

Im sure the new chaddy will be just as daft as me.

    See ya !

im gutted pal - still remember years ago when u did my 21st - all my younger cousins and even my son loved it! u made their night! dont know if anyone else would give up a saturday night for a fellow passionate latics fan !

    all the best pal

  7. all players have there ups and downs - for me taylor running at defenders is his strength but maybe his crossing is a weakness - the problem is the fans around the ground that give our OWN players stick - how can anyone work well with people on their back ?? i know most of us at work cant work properly if theres people on our backs! we are supporters of Oldham Athletic - so act like it!

  8. Crossley has cost us goals all season. (Didn't move v Swansea, at least 2 at Hartlepool, 1st at Accrington, near post AGAIN v Southend, pisspoor 1st vs Crewe - Need I go on?) The guy has been finished for years, Only playing 60 odd games in 12 seasons says it all. Watch the goals on BBCi press the red button available all day. Even the commentator says how poor it was!

that second goal we conceded my aswell have been a statue in net! i moved in the stands more than he did on the line!

  9. i think bringing back standing would be a great idea - problem is that the uk gets more like yankland everyday and people are getting sue crazy! plus when ur sat in the paddock and it starts raing you get completely soaked! if u was standing then it'd be the top of your head.

  10. i prefferred last seasons chant when we scored of soccer am's EASY EASY! screw the music! yank games do that and were a better class of sport than baseball or yank football

  11. may sound kinda wierd, but, mouldy old dough still feels me with that childish rush when i was at boundray park as a kid - excitement and wonder as the latics come out! so much so i have it as a ringtone on my phone. Mouldy Old Dough all the way!!

  12. sorry chaddylad dont think you can put the quality of ricketts in the same sentence as beckford, this will be the turn around of the season fans onside with ricketts -

i am on the same side as ricketts and i hope he does prove all the booers wrong - someone said wait till october for the wins to start rolling in - we need the wins now! we do this every season and look where we end up , fighting for promotion!

  13. So far this season Ricketts has looked less than impressive and alot of fans are getting aggitated with his performances. Some would tell these fans that he just needs time to get used to the football we play and form a bond with davies. Are we being too impatient with him as only football lovers could be, or will he struggle this season? Personally i think that he needs a little more time. He has played at the best level and i am sure he will come into some kind of form this season. :)

i know we shouldn't write ricketts off so early in the season but is it just me or have we got ourselves another darren beckford?? poor lads knackered come the 75th minute! come on ricketts we all believe in you pal show us some magic!!!
