  1. As you walk up Sheetfoot Lane after a particulary rubbish game, look up at the hospital and spare a thought for all those babies fighting for their lives in the special care baby unit (SCBU). Our son was in there after he was born, not for long, but many of the babies are there for weeks, gradually moving up rooms and getting closer to the outside world. I used to stand at the windows that overlook Boundary Park and tell him that one day I would take him there. We were lucky and less than a week later I was able to take him to his first game but some of the babies and families are not so lucky.

So, when Latics have lost to a goal that's come about by a defensive error and you are complaining whilst walking away from the game, look up at those windows and remember it's only a game :-)

my son was born healthy thank god and i stood with him at the window in the delivery room and showed him boundary park and he is still a latics fan at 28

all my thoughts are with you andy i went to the masters saturday you were brilliant such strength

  2. Cheers for that,Its for a Guy I know who sells Pianos ( he is a Latics fan) and he was worried because when the Big Piano Fair is on all the big Hotels are ripping punters off!

hi max stefans hotel in fulda is about 80 k from the center of frankfurt there is a area called saxenhousen its full of bars and hotels if you go on google earth and locate the area it shows all the hotels and has links to there website

  3. The Landlord at the White Hart is a red, but him and his son have STs at Latics and even go to away games.

It's not a red pub, but you do get a fair few in when they're on telly (where don't you?). I'd expect it to be on in there on Saturday.

the rifle range is a latics pub with the new royle bar and will be showing the match on 3 big screens and tvs all round the pub also free food on so get yourself down there

  4. At the risk of being scoffed at for keep repeating the same story, here goes.

I sent emails to LCFC and Alan Hardy when the 'local promotion' was announced, but sadly we are stuck with the expensive ticket prices, compared to home supporters.

Then I asked LCFC to reduce ticket prices for Latics supporters, even if not by as much as the cheap tickets for home supporters, in order to encourage more of them to travel and thereby improve the atmosphere on Sky. My representations were unsuccessful. :disappointed:

the wording they have used in the advert states it is a local promotion that is how they have got round it with the fa the word local in the dictionary says petaining to a city, town, or village now a local newspaper such as the leicester mercury will be available in leicester and surrounding areas but it says if you live to far away to get a copy of the newspaper for the said vouchers you can ring the ticket office to make arrangments to purchase tickets at the reduced cost this then makes it a national promotion but for home fans only which is against fa regulations

  5. i know this has been on the board already. but on the official leicester board it says the mercury newspaper vouchers can be used up to 3.00 on saturday, further down it says if you live to far away to collect the newspaper you can ring the ticket office to arrange to pay the offer price for match tickets now i am sure that is not a local promotion

    has anyone rang to complain
