  1. After the match yesterday I lost my season ticket. Someone picked it up and she phoned me to say she had found it - didn't leave a name or phone number. And then early this morning she dropped it through my letterbox.

The season ticket has your name but not your address or phone number on it. So she's done some detective work, been kind enough to leave a message, and then bothered to come round to my house and anonymously return the valuable item.

I have no idea who you are, madam. I am most grateful indeed for this very kind act. I suppose it's unlikely that you are a Latics fan and read this board. But in case you do, or a friend brings it to your attention, you are most kind and I would love to thank you personally.

The person who dropped the ticket is also very relieved!

  2. In his interview he said it would be late September before he started training again.

He played for the youth team yesterday. Looks impressive. I was surprised that on a Saturday there was no first team match, there weren't more of us there to watch the young prospects. It's free after all.

And Alan Hardy chipped his old cup.

    Anything else?

  3. I was talking to a committed Leicester supporter yesterday who knows some of the players and he said how very pleasantly surprised they are by the standard of football in League One. In fact he said if anything it's been better than the Championship in terms of teams who keep the ball down, playing a passing game and so on.

    Any comments nussul?

  4. Even if Gregan is suspended for the next game (which he doesn't deserve to be), Richie Byrne looked reasonable at centre-half and made one positive contribution. Plus isn't Stam close to being fit? We will have enough cover at the back for Huddersfield (its just a pity Gregan- at the mo- won't be up against Keigan Parker)

Stam played most of the reserves' match against Bury on Wednesday.

  5. We won 2-1 , report on the official website.

Dale Stephens was very good I thought, and Richie Byrne was outstanding. Two good goals, taken well by O'Grady and Davies, one in each half.

A nasty injury (head or neck) to a Bury player which required three physios and a doctor to attend him in the goalmouth.

I thought Kalala played quite well until he hurt himself near the end. I didn't rate the two triallists.

    But then I know nothing.
