Firstly thanks to the Trust members who attended this meeting.  FTAO of Trust members who attended.

When Lemsagam confirmed that budget would be 100% better than last season, did you ask him to clarify what this meant as in actual increase?  It would be a valid and fair question and wouldn’t compromise any confidential information but just give us fans assurances of whether we get two COGs up front next season or another Surridge and hopefully Lang

Two things did make me chuckle from the minutes -

BO (club) asked what The Trust wants from this meeting.

I can imagine him actually saying this to open the meeting and in that tone

BO (club) explained Mr Lemsagam has invested millions to stabilise the Club after it was left in a terrible state by the previous owner. It was explained that the Club was sold with undisclosed claims, debts and liabilities totalling millions of pounds.

Wasn’t he on that board alongside SC and involved in those decisions in running the club?

Genuine question - was BO’s arms firmly folded when he spoke?  Body language speaks a million words.....

This is what worries be about BO

The referee went to the linesman because he will have had a different view due to the angle he has seen it.

The angle he will have seen it will show that Clarke went up with his hand and the ball went out of play in the direction that it would have done if Clarke had hand balled it.

My first reaction was having watched the stream and see a replay it was handball from Clarke. I'd like to see it again going off people's reactions.

What is true is that the FA have dropped a massive bollock by only having VAR in PL grounds for this round of the FA cup the likes of Millwall and Doncaster with their comparatively modern stadiums could easily accommodate VAR. It's also created an unlevel playing field in the competition.

I agree with your comments regarding the different angle which the lino would have to view it. I have since seen a different clip and I am undecided whether or not the ball left George's head instead of being struck by Clarkey but I am in no doubt that he had the intent to handball regardless. At the very least the action is reckless on the part of Clarke and put us in a position which should have been avoided which is so frustrating giving his goal not long before

You've made your point. You are not coming across like a Latics fan. Are you a referee by any chance? Perhaps related to the clown that was in charge today? I can't think of many other reasons for defending that ludicrous decision by the officials today.

    Eh?

So what you saw is the one truth?  I saw it, i sag it wasn’t, the pundit’s on FS say it wasn’t, the commentator on my stream said it wasn’t and some others here say it wasn’t. This is therefore a debate.

Now, the ref didn’t give it until he spoke to a lino 40 yards away and they then gave it. That’s a fact...but it not clear cut by any means and I’m sure VAR wouldn’t have overturned the refs original decision of corner.

I might add that your reaction is odd, because it’s like the reaction of an opposition fan.

Ok, you think it wasn't, fair enough. Not sure why me saying that I feel he handles it is like a comment from a opposition fan?

I'm not telling you what you saw, I am disagreeing with your opinion. If you can't deal with that, then you shouldn't come on a forum. I didn't see it, you obviously did...so answer my question...did the ref award a corner until the lino changed his mind?

The only person struggling is you, for me it hit his hand. The mechanics behind what the ref did prior to that is immaterial as I am basing my opinion from what I saw

If it didn't hit his arm, then it is not a penalty. If it was a penalty...blatant, I assume, in the ref's eyes...why wasn't Clarke sent off and did he send him off in injury time to make up for getting it wrong?

For me it Clarkey handled it thus a pen. Not going to over analyse it, people will have their own opinion

  7. Hi guys,

So i'm close friends with the above mentioned, I've not had a chance to get down to Boundary Park yet this season but noticed your picking up results and pushing up the table :) Good news.

Basically i just wanted to know your thoughts on Josh? What do you reckon to him? Personally never thought he was a RB think hes better in RM/CM IMO his set piece taking skills are second to none, is he on Free kick and corner duty for you guys?

This is not fishing for complainants for him in the slightest just want to get a honest feel for how you guys think he has done, and would you like to see his contract extended past the end of this season?

    Freudian slip?

  8. You know I would quite like to get a rivalry going with Rochdale but I'm really struggling to dislike them.

Rochdale are the most inoffensive club in the country and Oldham fans lording over them is like the short fat kid at school lording it over the disabled kid at school because he beat him in the egg and spoon race on school sports day. Forever in our shadow really!

They are not city or United but not many clubs are. They don't have an obnoxious element of fans like Leeds or burnley. They don't have illusions of grandeur like a Huddersfield or Wigan hell even tranmere had enough scamps in their fan base for me to muster up a dislike and Ronnie Moore.

I want to dislike them but I feel they need to be more successful than us for me to do that.

Started off well then ruined it with that last sentence

  9. Get the new stand and club shop open.

Sell a family season ticket at £450 for two adults who share an address and up to four kids.

Push the £10 / £50 kids' season tickets harder than ever.

Increase the age limit for £22 admission from 16 to 19 to reflect the inability to leave education at 16.

Promote themselves hard as a family friendly football club and stick at it even if it doesn't work.

Expand free ticket to schools promotions and include half price family football days throughout the season, especially on half term Tuesday nights.

Guest ales in the various bars.

Cheaper beer and food before kick off to get people in the ground earlier.

A special flag holder cupboard for the Athleticos to keep their flags in when we're not playing to save them having to take them home.

Bacon sandwiches available for 99p whenever we have a ticket office queue.

    ----

    Just a thought ....

So we ARE getting new owners then?

  10. [REMOVED]

Some people just moan for the sake of moaning on here. Why don't you email the club to voice your displeasure that the statement isn't word for word exactly to your liking?

Good idea, I might just do that. I suppose you are happy with the way this week has dragged out and ended then. Lets just brush it under the carpet eh and hope nobody asks us any questions?

For me there are a lot of questions that still need answering. If the club had the balls to sign CE and suffer the backlash they now need to use that same set of balls to front it out to the paying customer and let us know what the :censored: has been going on.
