  1. There's no way of knowing whether these threats came from OAFC fans or not. I'd like to think that the vast majority of us have had passionate-fuelled debates, with the main goal of protecting our club.

Ched was toxic, everyone (bar our board) knew this before. Hope the staff are alright.

    Sack the board.

    The board knew it alright

  2. Looking back a couple of weeks how prophetic were Barry's comments about stay away supporters, if only you stay aways came more often, put money into the club, we may not have had to resort to signing a cheap despicable option.

Well done, do us all a favour, carry on staying away.

    You are not the victim's.

    First and last post.

    Wow

  3.

You said in an earlier post "A club that don't respect or care about the opinions of its own." How is this true? When it's quite clearly split and a lot of fans want him signed? So they are clearly respecting the opinions of "some" of their own. If you don't like the decision fair enough but to say the club have disregarded and don't respect opinions of their own is nonsense when it's an issue that has split opinions.

I doubt any of our supporters who are in support of CE coming would have to have their own personal moral decision to make had we not signed him. That is where the difference lies

  4.

£15 is average price at Spotland £7 less than Latics BP Gas Station sponsored by Sports Direct i still think this fixture will be bottom of many Rochdale Fan's list especially Drawing a winnable tie against Stoke City in The FA Cup 4th Round really surprised your club not made this Pay on the Night just to save itself dignity in the no one cares derby at the coldest football ground in England on a Tuesday Night 4 Day's before a Big Match

A lot of jabber coming from you for something no one cares about.

  5. Hughes' crime was worse. He showed remorse, but it was worse.

Absolutely. I was extremely uncomfortable with the signing of Hughes however he was remorseful, wanted to reintegrate to society and right his wrongs. I didn't want us to be the club who gave him that chance.

Unfortunately over time Hughes also showed himself up as the arrogant tosser he clearly was before the crime culminating in the infamous dogs night and him leaving under a cloud with us being forever remembered as the club that signed him upon his release.

I don't want the same tag with Evans and history appears to have taught us nothing here. No good can come of this association and it appears on the face of it that we have chucked a promising season right down the :censored:ter for whatever reason.

  6.

I could understand that train of thought if he had admitted to it but he has constantly professed his innocence.

Those of you with season tickets that will stop going, I will take it off your hands as in the last few weeks I no longer work Saturdays![/quote

no prob. Ill be selling mine pro rata season ticket rate for the remaining games

  7. 3 half time subs suggests to me LJ got it totally wrong in the 1st half - now he's trying to come the tactical genius while publicly slating players again. The 3 who were hooked at half time could have been any one of 6 or 7. Playing Poleon and Phili up front in the 1st half offered absolutely nothing.

I disagree, these are fringe players who were thrown in to try and stake a claim for a league start and keep up competition for places. Winchester aside Dayton and Tidser have had little game time and this was an excellent opportunity for them to show ability.

Unfortunately for them it wasn't taken. Whilst personally I thought both Kasunga and Poleon had worse 1st halves we won nothing in midfield, had no press and couldn't string passes together. That to me isn't a tactical error on LJ's part, it is just a number of pro's failing to do what others in the team were capable of second half.

If these players aren't good enough to come in and do a job which the established players are able to do, then I am sure LJ will be scouring the markets for ones that can. This will mean that players like Dayton, Winch and Tidser will be replaced.

  8. I did a tour of Celtic Park once, it was good to see their history and achievements etc however the person leading the tour could barely hold his hatred of the other side in and I'm not just talking Rangers here, the only other club that was spoken in positive tones was Hibernian.

I'm not saying that Rangers would be any different as I haven't done a tour there however the attitude and vitriol coming from this person in a very professional capacity was just unbelievable. Unfortunately to me it suggested that was the culture around the club as a whole.
