  1. I'll be going on Saturday

I'll be sitting in the Main Stand Upper for the first time since I used to go and watch the Reserves (directors seats aside) with the vouchers we used to get in the back of the ST

I will say my piece to Barry Blatter as and when he appears from feeding his face pre match (If he attends)

I will support the team but will not be taking part in applause or celebrations should Evans take to the pitch or score

I may well Boo if he is brought on as a sub

As far as Mr Evans is concerned I only have one thing to say........Break a leg son Break a leg. Does that make me a bad person maybe but at this exact moment I really do feel very bitter

I have already emailed the necessary people at the club and indeed texted Mr Corney to confirm that I am pulling away from an agreement we had made for my company to lease on of the Exec Boxes within the new stand......No Reply

I really am gutted about the whole thing and feel that MY club have been dragged through the mud by people who are looking after their own agenda. I've supported and attended games for 35 years. I feel that I as an individual have not been listened to. Rightly or wrongly I blame our Fans Rep for that

    Well said!
  2. Aaron I completely agree it has split opinion. But at no point has the club asked for opinion on what is a very emotive subject. They've also hinted that they have actually done this in the media. This decision has nothing to do with the fans. Its purely a desperate attempt to gain some money further down the line. I've got nowt against you, you're entitled to your opinion but don't try and say the club have taken the good people who have been supporting the club over the last 10+ horrible years thoughts into consideration.

Exactly! They don't care that's clearly obvious.

  3. Quite a few of them are Luke, some who've been going for as long as you and me put together, some a lot younger. I'm not after a tawdry few quid to make me feel better thanks all the same.

And I second that I'd rather burn it.... Some people on here don't seem to get how hard a decision for a long serving fan this is... So let people deal with it in there own manner without making them feel worse.

  4. He's not the club.

Why would any true supporter want to damage their own club?

Don't agree with the signing. Not for one second. I will make my feelings clear, but i won't damage the club because of a rapist or anyone else.

The clubs damaged itself, and anyone boycotting will not have made their decision lightly some of the fans have been going years and years but can't accept this situation.

No footballer at any level senior or youth if they are not playing regular football will come and haunt anyone or any team....they need regular run outs to improve otherwise it really is pointless neutering them for 2 to 4 years.

I'm glad they didn't neuter those yard dogs Milligan and Henry.

. Ha ha sorry cant smell sorry spell!
  6.

how often does he show it then?? he look nervous as hell at times to me and his habbit of holding onto the ball for far to long has cost us more than once. He did well against liverpool even without the assist for the winner but he needs to show that same drive and work ethic more often. Hes a player that drifts in and out of games...

How often has he had the chance, he needs to get the chance to get on the sodding pitch to prove himself - loanees in and out for the past few years stops their progress end of.

The Inbetweeners as I call them and we have at least four players who could step up the mark if given the run outs...arebfed up of seeing theirmplaces taken by loanees, it quite obvious that no one in any profession improves without practice.....no amount of training makes up for match practice....

So let continue to bring them through, sit them on the bench and then release them.......fantastic set up....in the mean time lets give all the other teams youngsters a run out so they can dump us at the first opportunity and make even more money for their clubs!

The wholes set up needs re looking at and we need to bring through a team of OLDHAM players not loanees. sorry sound on my soap box but this subject I am very passionate about.

  7. Im all for giving youth a chance but at the backend of last season most were calling for tarky to removed from the 1st 11 after an awful run of form where he seemed to ball watch a lot.

Its all very well moaning the youths arent getting game time but they arent showing enough when given any. Hes been injured on and off this season but looked good on saturday for the most part.

Look at Smith deried for most of the season, scores what should have been a point earner against conventry scores against liverpool and has missed some other good chances but at least hes there in the right areas to come good and now rightly people want to see him in the team.

Millar looks like a kid playing park football

Mellor looks Ok but nothing to write home about and Winchester might just might have something about him but looks leightweight and nervy

The youth teamers we have let go in the past havent come back to haunt us and i doubt they will... We always have this thing with our young players that they are the next big thing but in reality most are just below average

Trust me Winchester might be lightweight ....nervy never in million years.....confident in his ability but not able to prove himself due to lack of opportunities!

  9. From the Chron........

“I hope Simon thinks I do a good job in developing young players. But there has to be a transition from when they leave the under-18s to the first team and I think it has stalled lately.

Anybody believe this is a dig at Dickov's 2 and a half seasons in charge?

And quite rightly a dig at whats been going on...we've trained and improved everyone else's youngsters this last two seasons but our own, the ones we have nurtured for the last 4 years...now what sense does that make? The ones who has more affiliation to the club than any of the loanees....yes we need some experience but we also need to give the young guns a go more often.

We need to start to use the young lads properly....one game here and there is not going to get them match fit and to the standards the fans expect to see....I've see young players slated because they don't step up the the mark when they get there one opportunity....well if you had not had a game of anything for weeks would you be at your best.....keeping fit is all they can do but nothing replaces playing matches.

So it's great to see Philliskirk making himself heard, he does such a fantastic job with little of his work being recognised as they are all but an odd lad released at the end of their training contract...even if they are excellent players or not.

So yes let have a season of bringing them through and building an Oldham team.

  10. Someone, usually reliable, has posted on the OAFC Ezine message board, that there was a meeting yesterday afternoon at Boundary park, where Simon Corney told Lee Dux. and Tony Philiskirk, that there would be NO FUNDS available next year for Reserve and Youth Team Development, apparently Dux stormed out and Tony Phil. was absolutely fuming, as you would expect. Really hope this is not true. Can anybody on HERE get any info. to confirm or deny, Please.

Only 1 contract for 1 youth player so can actually believe what u are saying...the club HAS gone to the dogs and there is little interest left to support them.

  11. Nothing's really worked recently, so I'm hoping we go back to the same team that put in the best performance of the season that I've seen against Huddersfield:

    Brill y

    Lee y

    Hazell y

    M'voto n (Tarkowski)

    Black y

    Morais y

    Furman y

    Stephens y

    Evina ?

    Taylor N ill

    Tounkara n reid and Brooky

It's a formation that leaves us a bit exposed at the back but I feel we need to take the game to them so having as many creative players in the midfield as possible would be the best thing. White or Alessandra ahead of Evina might be better on the left but I feel Evina will give us more width and while Tounkara's badly out of form I don't feel we have anyone else who can play that role well enough.

  12. I thought we were supposed to be signing m'voto back? dickov wants him back, and we could do with someone like he was when we was on form.

Also about the stadium, do talks normally drag on this long? or are the rightly keeping quiet until there's something defninitely there?

He is back training with us!

  13. Drop Stephens. Hes been poor ever since he got his new contract. Stick a magnet in the ball and one in Brills arms because that first goal was fookin pathetic! Then he had the guts to shout at the defence complaining! Feeney, sorry but if he is going to be our main goal getter this season we are fooked. Thats twice i've seen him take it back, instead of attacking, and we have conceded twice from it, if i was Brooke or Kelly i would be demanding answers from PD why that useless lump is getting on instead of them - do fleetwood want another player?

White, Tonk, Furman all looked good, but we missed Lee, especially in last 20, Winchester was out of energy, Nardiello tore him a new hole, Jones offered no protection, can't wait for Morais to come back! Taylor - put some effort in!!! and dont be such a wimp, and shut up getting lippy with the officials.

Credit to Exeter, we was crap all night, only reason we scored 3 in first half was because Exeter hardly challenged us on the times when we got the ball.

Agree with all your post except we were crap all nights = never in a million years were we crap in the first half...have you a short memory - crap is what we watched all last seasin.

  14. I know it's all doom and gloom, but on the brighter side we have 3 out of our last 4 we are 4 points off second with a game in hand, yes it was a poor giveaway tonight but PD will make them learn from it, let's pick ourselves up for the Dale game on Saturday

Still enjoyed the game - agree with all you say but it may be PD needs to learn from his mistakes as well - all round lessons to be learnt but hey how much better to watch that anything last season.
