  1. Pretty bad news being close to a shot at promotion.

To lose someown like Andy Ballard and for no money is simply vindictive.

I think i'm definitely calling it a day this season, as fans we need answers and soon. We have lost four of our best players and the man with the money is set to leave. I think everything that happened 3 seasons ago when the club nearly went bust could be happening again. I'de be surprised if we are still around by the 2011/12 season.

  2. It's all gone tits up for us(Roughyeds) at the minute anyway. Bill Quinn is fed up and pulling all his money out, no thanks to Chris Hamilton leaving him in the dark over a decision he made. I don't think the Chaddy deal ever went through, personally i wouldn't be too bothered if Oldham RL moved to the stadium in Tameside, we're used to playing out of town anyway and it's a decent little ground for Rugby.

  3. How are members kept informed of whats happening/up and coming events on?

As my son is a new member to this and I'm not sure how BB work

    Thanks

I think you get a newsletter every now and again, It isn't quite as easy to stay in touch after the loss of the BB Lounge in the NSM Stand

  4. One question, I was born in Oldham but now live down south in Exeter, why would we sell Eardley? When i've seen him he looks very good and a very decent player, I know we've signed this Holdsworth but Eardley should stay and fight with him for his place.. get it  hahahaha... See you on the 12th December..

    Good luck!

He's had his good games but it wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to leave after the amount of crap he took last season off the fans.

  5. You have no idea, we're working on something really big at the moment and it's taking up a lot of my downtime! What with cartoons and sigs and whathaveyou it's becoming a full time job. I need an assistant. And now somebody wants a Pats *spit* sig! This is the last straw, where's the shop steward...

Oh, well if a pats sig is too much for you, i will have a lovely Wigan one

  6. Got to say, there's something the original poster hasn't mentioned which would add weight to the point. That desire to achieve...one thing that's really got my back up about our "experienced" lot Shez brought in and just the general feel is "who really wants it"...who isn't thinking "been there, done that, happy here" eg. Gregan, Lids etc. or thinking about their future being more bleak by going up as they might be shipped out for players who've played at that level eg. Allott.

One things for sure, yeah...ok...those being gambled on might not be good enough from the lower leagues, but it's worth a shot especially as the desire to achieve would be one ingredient that's been sorely missed recently IMO. I'd love another Bob Dowie out there to find the next Fitz Hall and I think it's something we should definitely be considering. A few less expensive gambles, than quite expensive which has got us little return in recent years.

Agree with what your saying BB80.

People like Gregan have witnessed it all before and woud certainly be released if we were to go up. I think it is defenatley time to turn to the younger lads like Taylor and Lee who have a desire to play in higher leagues, they're not going to get any better sitting on the bench!

  7. I'm against it, I go to football to enjoy myself and think that this is such a sorrowful subject it is best not to be raised at football matches. How many minutes silence are inflicted on football? I never see it in theatres or cinemas.

Fooball is the most popular sport in the country, what better way to spread the word of Knife crime and recognise those who have been murdered through it!
