For those who wonder why I don't post regularly someone will remind people of the past history with personal abuse towards my family and myself.

 

I can have a decent debate with anyone but not when abuse is an element.

 

What I have said tonight needed saying and I stick by my words that people do need to get real.

I served Sean McCarthy's wife when I worked at Sainsbury's years ago. She bought a Man United cake for their kid's birthday. It upset me a little.

Come on Boys (And Girls) lets give the bloke a whole season to show us what he can really do! I know its been a poor start with at times some utter pap football! But yes he has had a lot of injuries and very little money to spend but we all knew this would be a transitional season!

Come on let get the team spirit back up!

I have given up on us for this season. Never have i been so unenthusiastic about Oldham! Fans have voted by walking out, you can call them not true supporters but the very "fans" who pay on the gate and visit every now and then are the ones the club needs to survive and unfortunatley they along with me have had enough of he same old cr@p!!

They are more or less giving tickets away for the Exeter game to get a decent game, unfortunatley this game will only remind the stay away fans why they stopped bothering!

Is any of this Penneys fault - No not 100% he has his hands tied with money and injuries and the cr@p signings he has made. Should we bring someone else in - Yes if only to bring a brief spell of optomism!

I fear for the future of this club.

Despite this being a clear wind up it does seem like our last game has seriously tipped a few over the edge in terms of mental stability! Games behind closed doors? What next?...Midweek night matches without floodlights???

Before I start work this morning, I must get an idea I've had regarding solving Latics home form out into a wider arena. I've emailed the club already but would like to hear arguments both for and against. In a stroke, my solution would;

 

1. Regenerate a unique atmosphere

2. Save the club a fortune

3. Protect our brave players from idiots shouting and booing

4. Create a strange atmosphere for away players

5. Allow constructive arguments between the players

6. Adhere to the captains wishes

 

My solution? Play home games behind closed doors.

 

Season ticket holders would get a full refund. This would be funded by the electricity, maintenence and staff savings.

1. Unique definatley dont think it will change much though to be honest...

2. Think the ST money and gate reciepts brings in a lot more than the electricity, maintenence and staff wages for match days...

3. Would protect the players but i wouldnt call them brave... the last couple of performances have shown they are a tad spineless

4. Strange for away players... will have more of a negative effect on home players than away, stepping out in to someone else's ground with 4k fans is more daunting, than stepping out on to an empty ground!

5. How would it allow this?

6. The captain needs to look at himself more rather than blaming everyone else.

Think you may piss off the one thing this club has going for it.... A small but loyal fan base in MAJORITY!!!

Its like saying "lets fold the club"

Would save money on player, wages, staff, electricity etc etc

We could sell the land to tesco

Players would all get a nice new club

We could all go and support Manure or :censored:ty

Go create your own board, but remove users who have a different opinion to yours... If we all agreed on every subject then it would be boring!

Yes as it happens I can, i think IF we can get shut of people like Hazell and Brill, get the wingers fit and be able to play the same team for 5-6 games we COULD mount a playoff challenge, but realistically finish around 10-11th which would be ok in my book.

 

He needs TIME need I say more.

I admire your football philosophy, your preference for young players and to build a team of ‘workers’ with an added touch of quality to go with it.

No evidence of a team of workers so far or quality for that matter....

You do however, seem to be always on the lookout for unspotted young talent or players that may be available for loan

Usually a reason they are unspotted as we have seen.....

I know you have brought in good players and whilst it may be a building job this year, I know you will get it right eventually and lead us to success.

What evidence of this do you have, and how long is the eventually...

let me say that I have not witnessed a more likeable, professional and committed manager as yourself.

Sorry to be so negative i know your only trying to breathe optomism into a new manager but to spout damn right lies to him so he can feel that little bit better about himself is going a bit far.... I admire your optomism i really do but can you really see any positive since he has been in charge, can you see this team going anywhere this season apart from league 2?

Yeah with Allott in the side we would be doing so much better, just like last season

 

I dont think he really had much choice on Hughes and Eardley

People seem to forget some of the performances Allott put in last in season, at least with him you got 100% effort and passion. Same with Warne, both not the best footballers but at least you couldnt comment on their effort. If the team had half of their work ethic we would be in a better position that what we are in.

I hate to see Oldham lose but if the effort and passion is their its a lot more bearable than that garbage last night!! Im not saying he did have a choice on Eardley and Hughes but with money the money saved/earned we could of done a lot better thant spooning it on some of the players we have!

What he has done is with what budget we had blown it all on an oversized squad of garbage & got rid of some of the players we now look like we so dearly miss (Hughes, Eardley and especially Allott)! Look at the amount of players we have out on loan or languishing in the ressies... or the bunch of no hopers we signed on 1-2 months contracts who have since left... Buying cast offs and league 2 players and not utilising the loan market effectivley = relegation.

Rubes and Greegs where one of our big problems last season both of them prone to giving goals away.... solution for this season lets get rid of stam add no competition and let them keep on!!

Poor team... poor signings...poor performances = poor crowd!! For this first season since i can remember i cant be a**ed going to games, the prospect of going to BP bores me! I may get slated for this but thats my honest answer and also i feel other fans will say the same!

For the first time in a long time Boundary Park is going to be a place of footballing interest this weekend, we have got our way and BIG JOE is back in control lets show our appreciation by giving our full vocal backing tomorrow!! The TTA have more than served us if we play our part at 3 o clock tomorrow we can go all the way starting with getting us back on the road to wembley!
