Putting every article from the official site onto Facebook will just turn people off - not what Facebook interaction is about.

 

The Facebook side of things should be more light-hearted and engaging. It should show another side to the club....what goes on in the background, what players/staff get up to in their spare time, what the club/players think of topical things of the week etc etc mixed in with the odd merchandise or tickets advert and some occasional serious article.

 

Photos and the odd video are good, too.

It is good to get all of your feedback, and I can see what you mean by putting every article from the official site could put people off - I think a bit of careful selection to what links go up there needs to be looked at - as I am sure you are more than aware the club earns money from the number of hits it has to the official site, obviously the more hits the official site gets the more money the club gets, this is the reason for the 'teaser' on Facebook with a link to the full story on the official site.

Bear with us on this though - we are trying to get the best for the club in the best way possible. The idea of attracting fans to the official Facebook page with the competition definitely seems to of worked though, nearly 200 extra likes since Thursday afternoon!

Not sure if anyone still has one of these knocking around anywhere, but a fair few years ago (back in the 90s I think) Latics produced a chaddy tshirt. It had chaddy ripping out o the front and as far as I can remember his backside coming out of the back.

If anyone has one of these still I would be grateful of a photo!

Lookers Carl, the font used on the first layout is the one we use for 'premium' OAFC items (corner flag suite any exec literature etc)

As mentioned earlier, once we receive some photos from the new season we will create player wallpapers.
