  1. Quite a strong word 'vile'.

    1. The little scrote was at it all game and when he got a taste of his own medicene he didnt like it.

    2. He was hardly teenager, he was 20 at least.

    3. Yes my language might have been a lot to be desired for, but were at at football match not watching Cats at the Royal Albert hall.

    4. Im not little

    5. Obviously you have seen the whole matter through blinkers and i hope you enjoyed your first match since 1994.

I can't seem to grasp the comment 'your language throughout the game was nothing short of vile', it was only when i was taunted after the equaliser that i voiced my opinions back.

Each to there own i say, you obviously haven't been to many intense football matches where language and emotions tend to run quite high.

There wasn't any children present around me, if you don't like it don't listen to it.

I've heard ticket sales for Westside Story are booming at present, fancy a Prawn Sandwich.

    R.I.P The working class game.

  2. Unable to vote on the pole because one question missing 'Couldn't go if the game had been at the weekend, but able to go now it's on the Friday?' I am on call over the weekend. Seems sensible to me and the only real option for both clubs. Couldn't be Saturday because Everton at home and many floating Latic's fans in the area have either City or United as their first choice team and may have been discouraged against going with the the derby being on the Sunday at 1pm.

  3. I think we will lose Taylor and can afford to. The shape in recent games at times has been a 4-2-3-1 with Furman & Stephens sitting slightly behind a 3 from Taylor/Morais/White/Evina who are pretty interchangeable - Alice could play in that system too. I guess Reid is an option for flat 4-4-2 or as an alternative to Tunks.

Dickov knows what he's doing; I like the way he thinks.

Alice, Alice, who the fcuk is Alice??? Have been racking my brains here, please put me out of my misery.

  4. None, because all of those strikers are crap.

We need two news strikers and get rid off O'Grady and Wolfy. Play Smalley on the wing and loan out Lewis. At the moment we are two strikers and a central defender short of a squad. Brooke can play in the reserves.

Rob Purdie's best position by his own admission is on the right side of midfield and Taylor is the best we have to play on the left. I agree that we are one good striker short, but if we are considering making judgement on what we have then in my view Smalley is the best of the rest. We have a great looking midfield. I would have thought that Worthington will be the holding player and the others including Smalley as the second striker come 5th midfield player will be able to interchange and support Abbott up front. The opening day of the season will certainly be very interesting. Based on who we have, I suggest the starrting line up would be

    GK- Flemming (initially)

    Back4 - Eardley, Hassell, Gregs & Jacobson

MF - Purdie, Worthington, Furman & Taylor

    ST - Abbott & Smalley

We are all speculating on the new lads until we have seen them, but I'm sure you would agree that it looks quite promising.

  5. We have lost our manager, our best player, we are in a terrible run of form, slipping down the table and the chance of reaching the play offs and a trip to Wembley almost a distant dream. So why have I woke up this morning and feel absolutely fantastic and full of optomism. I can't really put my finger on it, but something tells me that we've turned a corner. This is a real opportunity for players and fans alike to really pull together and for us to galvanise ourselves and things will turn out ok and the good times will return hopefully under Royle. My club means a thousand times more to me than it would ever do to the likes of Hughes, so please lets stick together and enjoy what we have left for the rest of the season and beyond.

  6. Calm down guys. Don't get me wrong, i'm as disapointed as any of us regarding last nights result, but football matches at this level are won and lost on marginal incidents. The pissed penalty, hitting the bar and then their deflected goal etc. The thing that gets me going is the instant booing and abuse the players get from certain fans when things arn't going our way. It has a negative effect and the younger players go into their shell and are afraid of making mistakes. The result of this is that the players look like they don't want it as much as the opposition and this only gives more amunition for the verbal abusers. I'm sick of it, will you shut up.

As for the Shez out gang. What are you on about!! Ok there are things I would have done differently, but who says the team I would have picked would have faired any better. Its just one of those things. We lost, get over it, but we are doing really well this season and personnal I am optomistic for the rest of the season with Shez at the helm. Give us a chance.

Phew!! got that off my chest, so on a constructive point, I would like to add that I do think that we are playing too many of our loanees and whilst we might have strength in depth, it would be better to stick to a settled formnation with players playing in roles which are they are comfortable and with players who they know.

  7. not wanting to sound disrespectfull or anything, but greegan and lidds havent played for months,so they will be nowhere near match fitness,so hardly the knights in shining armour we need now.

hughes is at least ten days away, and again hasnt played for a bit so shez himself said he is nowhere near match fit,add to that the possibility that davies could in the worst be out for 4 weeks and where do you see us getting these wins from.

we have a good few young hungry players coming through, but shez himself has admitted they looked tired and we lack a cutting edge upfront.

i will be still hoping were in the playoffs come may, however i just cant see it at the moment.

I agree that the shortage of fire power up front is worrying and we don't have the players who will score enough from other areas of the pitch. Fortunately, our defence is good and if we could just get through the next few weeks until hughes is match fit we could still be in with a chance. However, in todays current climate with people moving on when out of contract, I am a great believer that you have two years in which to get a team together which can gell before its back to the drawing board. We're in the first year of our transition and thats why it took us until december or january before we started to get some consistancy. If we don't make it this year and lets face it is unlikely, come next August with a fit Lee Hughes (that guys a 25 goal a saeson man in this division) and the experience gained this year by some of our younger players and with Shez strengthening the squad in the summer with the money from the cup run, we should be a strong force next season.

  8. Think realism is starting to hit home, we have no consistancy, yeah tranmere are 9 points off but that means we have to win a fair few in a row and hope that they carry on dropping points. We played better today, but no away goal in open play in the league since New Years Day is worrying. But the next 5 games will make or break it for sure, still think its possible and i'll keep hoping untill its not mathmatically possible but i just can't see it.

Yeh I know but lets hang onto the dream for now. If we could just get a decent run and with Hughsie, greegs and lids all back we could just be the team that takes the form into the play offs. With the run of fixtures coming up, I feel that in 5 games time we will be higher up the league than we are now. How much higher we will have to see.

  9. Cheer up lads. Don't get me wrong i'm as disappointed as anyone because I realised the importance of a good result today especially with the fixtures we have coming up. We have beaten 5 of the top 6 teams in league one this season so we've proved we can compete against the best teams in the league and we have not lost against a team in the bottom 7, all to play again. I'm afraid i'm one of those annoying optimists, but thats why I love the game so much. You never know whats going to happen. So enjoy and get behind the team. We've still everything to play for.
