  1. O Grady I agree, works hard and seems to give 100% every time I've seen him.

By the way his best game was at Burnley when he started up front on his own.

Unfortunately if your are a forward / striker you need to either score goals or create them and he has done neither with us or with Bury this season.

Hope he starts to prove me wrong but he has all the qualities of a central defender...strong,tall,good in the air and brave.

Career stats prove it - 120 games 18 goals about 1 goal in 10.

    But can he tackle?

    Hmmmmmmmm.

  2. He did!

He got turned by the forward he was supposed to be marking and left for dead.

In the second half, he lost his player twice in a couple of minutes and had to be saved on both occasions by Hazell. And what was his response, he shouts at Crossley and Hazell. Team captain my arse!!!

Let's look logically at his overall contributions:

    1) If the opposition has a big forward, then Gregan let's Hazell mark him and then shouts at him if he gets beaten.

    2) Gregan only wins headers against a smaller forward because he can't jump and if he gets turned it's Hazell's fault for not covering.

    3) He hasn't won a header in an attacking position for over a year.

    4) he has no man-management skills.

If you think I am being harsh, then I was standing shoulder to shoulder with about 30 other Latics fans in the RRE who all had the same opinion that he did not deserve a starting slot.

    Thank you.

It is every game. The man is costing us points. Hazell was getting extremely 'p---ed off' with the mistakes in the second half from his captain.

    And again

  3. I was reading The News Of The World earlier on today, and to my bemusement Sean Gregan (that big fat plodder who for some reason wears the captains arm-band) was given an 8 as his rating and was in the dream team of the day, I'm sure they watch a different game to the rest of us because he was absolutely shocking. Drop him before he actually make us lose a game, he cost us 2 points yesterday because of his lack lustre, cant be arsed approach he seriously needs his head clearing, maybe a boot to the face may have kicked some sense into him.

  4. Midfield rubbish

Eardley complete cack yet again - what the hell has Lomax done wrong to lose his position?

    Taylor - ineffective

Gregan - not marking and then blaming Crossley for his own crap defending

Forwards given no service at all

and 2 very good saves from their keeper in the first half

    Allott was diabolical.

  5. Have you lived up to your expectations so far?

No, I expect us to be higher and the likes of Peterborough shouldn't reallllyyyy be above us with the team we have this season.

Who has been your best player so far?

Chris Taylor. He has ripped apart every team so far.

    Worst player?

Neal Eardley, he has his moments of brilliance and when he does he looks a different class, but when he is off his game and comes back from international duty the team resort to playing hoofball and we all know we can devour teams when we play flowing attacking football.

Best team you've seen so far?

Leicster, althoguh that would be expected. Even though if we had scored 10 minutes earlier I think we would have won 2-1.

    Worst team?

Millwall on the opening day, absolutely shocking.

    Your best performance so far?

    The Millwall Comeback.

Your predicted finish based on what you've seen so far?

When we play aggressive attacking football I would say 3rd/4th.]

When we play hoofball I would say 6th/7th.

  6. he was a menace!

great goal-poaching goal, and was pain in the arse for their defence constantly.

    and that dive!!! :laught16:

shame the ref had a humour by-pass..

That was so funny. I wondered what he was doing, and he even found it funny himself, when he was facing the free-kick he was laughing his head off.
