What a load of nonsense! Strikers ARE about scoring goals. If Davies goes and Holloway comes in we will be hearing ‘Oldham Nil’ a lot more often.
Still if you want a so-called forward with a strike rate of 1 in 10 then good luck.
Davies will be missed if he goes, mark my words.
1 in 10 stop bigging Holloway up he won't score 10 goals in his career!

Getting downboated for wanting Oldham to get rid of a striker that scores no more then 5 a season for oldham shows how mental people are
5 goals a season, he's not scored five goals for Oldham in his career! ?

You'd think we were signing messi. I'm happy he's (hopefully) been signed up but, we need some other areas sorting out too. If its a permanent deal, i can't see how we have funds available to get another cb/st at least in. Takeover won't give us extra funds (ffp). And byrne would bring an extra 10 or so on the gate tomorrow. Most won't sway on just one signing. We were shite with him in but, no doyle. And now we don't have bryan too.
City and Chelsea don't appear to worried about FFP!

Lots of cones out on Rochdale Road near the petrol station. Fully expect Oldham Council to have roadworks planned here for the weekend! ?

Dummigan not in the N.I. squad. That would be bad news if just Johnny and Gevaro called up.

Seven tickets left when I went at 2ish. The guy in the ticket office said another 200 tickets would be there in about 20 minutes.

I think he will drop a few bollocks, but he certainly knows how to entertain, his distribution was excellent all night and he aint afraid to come for the ball, we may have solved our goalkeeping problem.
The two previous incumbents dropped plenty!

Plenty of ex-tics have jumped on the bandwagon I know of some who are now season ticket holders at the Emptihad, shocking behaviour.
Probably the same ones that jumped on the Latics bandwagon in 1990!

The top line reads "national radio rights", I believe local broadcasts will be unaffected.
This deal makes sense in that case, as rather than broadcast a Championship or League One game, in weeks without Prem fixtures, R5L would focus on rugby, or cricket.
Hence the reason you cannot listen to commentary online.

I think it's also something to do with Sky wanting to be able to give each league's final day individual coverage hence the noon kick off (Super Sunday is on). IIRC it happened last year too but i think all football league fixtures finished on the same weekend.
We kicked off at noon on Sunday last season. Pretty sure Champ and L2 played Saturday lunchtime and evening, but everybody finished the same weekend.

I asked the same question on another thread earlier today.
Crusoe explained that it's because the FA cup final has been scheduled for the same weekend as the play off finals this year so one final had to move. They chose to move the league 1 final a week earlier meaning the season ends a week earlier too.
Cheers bozman. I thought there was more to it than tv schedules as it's not normally a problem.

Does anyone know why League One finishes a week earlier than the Championship and League Two?

I was not renewing 100% (I know I say it every year - this year I wasn't, didn't even have the money)
then dad fell seriously ill last week. So ill we'd pretty much said our good byes on Friday night. I renewed Saturday morning for me and my daughter. I'd had it with this club this season and especially with the owner.
Friday before dad was moved to the ICU and before he suffered his cardiac arrest and before being put into a medically induced coma he told me to go to Southend. " don't worry about me I want you to go, you should go. You're a Latics fan it's what you do"
As dad deteriorated through the night I knew I wouldn't go to Southend and we got home at 3am after being at hospital for 15 hours knowing it could be curtains for him. After getting about two hours kip, we rang to see if he had survived the night. He had, and I renewed my season tickets first thing Saturday morning.
Why? As you know I've simply had it with the doom and gloom and lack of a Plan or hope, but dad passed on his love of Latics to me and as the outlook for him is grimmer than grim, multiple organ failure and there's several machines at the moment keeping him alive. He needs a miracle, until his illness kicked in over the last 10 years we'd go home and away together most weeks and despite my loathing for the current regime I can't throwaway a bond developed through dad over 31 seasons. I know when the time comes for him i'll never be closer to him than when I'm at boundary park on a Saturday afternoon...
i can't let that go, I just can't...
Gulp! ?
