  1. I just my tickets for the fans forum and guess who gived me the tickets the man and only Paul Dickov and that is a great way to meet the fans the guy was talking to me for 20 mins and he will be signing 3 new players next week he said and taggert will almust be number two to him.

He's just done the same for me!!

Seems like such a nice bloke. Chatted to him, Simon Corney and the new 'assistant manager' for about 15mins.

They were saying that one thing we will see this season is passion...........

And I said 'hopefully goals as well!!'

Can't wait for it to begin now

  2. Well I can say I have indeed just met the manager (AND HIS ASSISTANT!!) this lunchtime as I bought my tickets!!

Mr.Corney swore me to secrecy though so I cannot say who he is, but he also is a top fella!

    I'm buzzing

What lovely fellas, very warm, approachable and is well up for the task ahead.

They were all chatting outside the entrance and I asked if I was to buy my tickets at the office or the club shop, so Dickov said ''I'll go and get them for you.How many do you want?''

    Haha, surreal!

I have a good feeling about this partnership :dynamite:

  3. I saw Haining, both before and during the match but not wellens. Are you sure it was Ritchie?

Yes, I agree and disagree with the Town fans views. In patches we really were that good last night and yes we deserved to win.

Craig, Wellens was in disguise wearing a cap!

They were on the row infront to your left, along with Martin, car provider to the stars. :)

  4. After weeks and weeks of criticism - some very harsh imo, well done on an excellent clean sheet today at a very tough place to go, having seen us win there last year, i'm sure those who have gone today will have some very positive words to say about a good team performance.

For the baffoons who begin topics with negative, impatient, claptrap - move on, there's nothing to see here!

    Ere ere Mr.Briefs!!!! :ktf:

  5. Get a grip everyone....new set up, new team... its gonna take to time to bed down.

Bloomin eck...two games in, one league, one crap cup.

Get behind your team for chuffs sake...tearing up season tickets already on another thread.....ye gods!!!!!!

Constructive critism yes I can deal with but do we really need these sorts of fans all "doom and gloom" already?

    Tut....

Well said that man!!!! (or woman)

  6. Absolutely loved it!!

Latics fans were buzzing. Dancing around and singing so loud you'd have thought it was us that were top of the league!

Just goes to show how the fans respond to the effort that is put in on the pitch.

If only we could get behind the team every game, as we definitely DO count as the 11th man (and woman!)

I had a smile from ear to ear all the way through that 90minutes.

Just a damn shame we couldn't nick it in the end, but with the sheer doggedness and determination against the odds it felt like a win!

Proud to be a Latics fan, and glad I was there :bounce:

  7. So it was all down to which captain won the coin toss up before the match ?

    Hmmmmm maybe!!!!

Taken from the Hereford site's match report......... (so it was the slope AND wind's fault??)

3:00pm: We're underway here at Edgar Street, United are shooting towards the Meadow End in the opening period, no doubt trying to get off to a flying start down the slope with the wind behind their backs.

  8. Had a text from my dad who is on his way back from the game.

After I asked what went wrong he just said................

''Very strong wind.We didn't handle it at all.Every shot went wide or at keeper.

They played better all over the pitch, we made loads of mistakes.

    They deserved it''

So there you go......................it was a case of BAD WIND!!!!!

  9. So to add my own bit (like you want to hear it). Warne is in my top 3 favourite players of the last ten years, along with Gregan (favourite) and Wellens (2nd), and I like to think for good reason. Whether it is for walking off at Gillingham clapping us or every moment he put in more effort than any player I've seen (including Ernie). I think he's great and wish him all the best in the small career that now remains.

NB. I would have released him too, just not in the same manner.

Here here Simon!!! He's up there for me too......and I'll do as much ''flailing of my arms up in the air'' as I wish to.............. :imnotworthy::imnotworthy::imnotworthy:

  10. I didn't name names LL  It's just that there's been loads of posts over many months spouting twoddle and Greags has had some stick - it's just good to see him having positive ones said....

(do i say thank you back? Or would that be too sarcastic? )

As long as that's cleared up then,ha!!

I'll let you say thank you

  11. Gregan - He's slow and he's lost his head - get rid.... Oh no he's immense keep him....oh no, he's made 1 mistake.he's crap get rid. hang on a moment...he's played alright again...keep him

    Carry on and on....

    Same :censored:......different game....

Just when he has a bad 'un, pleas don't have a pop!

BTW how did he look today :D

Just for the record I've never said get rid.

    Always liked him

Just giving credit where it's due

    I thank you!!!

  12. immense No !

Gregan has been playing well in the last 2 games but still well below what we know he is capable of !

    Seany is BACK!!!!!!

Todays performance was no way ''well below'' what he is capable of.

So many crucial blocks and clearances once again.

    Immense............YES! :)
