  1. Nadine as been to a few matches, Ive seen her in the Chaddy end !! It was hard to choice who to watch, the players, Nadine or Sam

Oi Rich, you stalker!!! Is that 'Sam' as in 'me'???

Thought you sat in the Main Stand these days..........you must have the binoculous out to see that far!

  2. We are 24hours from the cup game and still haven't received clearance which would allow Ormerod to play. Surely Preston are not still weighing up their options.....You're not telling me that they still haven't decided at this late stage.

Why is everything so difficult at this club?.......for God's sake it's not exactly a life or death situation is it!!!!!

Just looked on Cheltenham's official site and it states that he is able to play after clearance by Preston.

  3. Also, does anyone kniow ehy they always refer to Stam as the popular dutch man. I can think of more popular players but he always seems to win this award

    Hmmmmm let me think!!!

I do know a bloke who is good mates with him and he said he is the nicest, most modest bloke you'd ever meet!

  4. Now that's a female all over. You wont give up a 19 year old hobby for no man but the man must accept give and take!!!! We just give and you just take lol. :o

Hmmmmmm..... would you give up a 19year old hobby for a woman?

It's a hobby that brings my family together too, so that would mean upsetting them for not spending time with them.

Should he not just try and come to a game once in a while, just as I did what he wanted me to do?

And no rude comments thanks!!

  5. When I started seeing my Mrs I told her in no uncertain terms "you are number 2, and always will be. I go to Latics, dont ever moan about it/try to change me, and everything will be cosy". Somehow, she understood (or just accepted) this. She has no interest in football which suits me down to the ground, and she has never once moaned at me about going to games and spending all my money watching Latics. Happy days :D

That rings a bell, for opposite reasons!!

I was dating a guy who hated football and dumped me coz he said I thought more about football than about him!

He said I fitted him in around Latics games and that he wanted me to put him first...........

and then proceeded to dump me because of it! :redcard:

A bloke who hates football??? What's the world coming to???

    What a :clown:

  6. I was there yesterday and I must admit that I did think he purposely went over to their fans to do his 'jig'.

He only came away from them when our other players joined him to celebrate and they turned him away from them.

I said to my family that I wished he would stop doing it.

Ok the dance is fine but don't run over and purposely wind the opposing fans up.

I'm preparing for the slating now, but it was just an opinion from what I saw yeterday....... :ohno:

  7. Sorry Mr LeesLover, I just wasn't sure if Ms Luvly was au fait with loony left 80's miltant scouse politics and the Trotskyite protagonists involved.

She's not the sharpest tool in the box you know.

It could well have been Stan Boardman with Mr Barrett, we need ultimate clarification here.

Matt you wind-up merchant! You know I knew he was him.

You even Googled him when I got back to work and I confirmed it...........and then you suggested I put it on here!

    :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3: :ass3:

Thanks Andy for backing me up!!!! :chubb:

  8. How many fans do we usually take to the Monkey Hangers?

Heard they've only give us 950 tickets.

Only 2 hours drive, I reckon we will sell our allocation out.

Could turn that ground into a home game on Saturday if they give us more tickets.

I asked how many we had sold when I bought mine at 1ish today and she said only 2 hundred and odd.

Think you can pay on the day but didn't want to chance it!

  9. I was sat right in front of the 'incident' and there were kids as young as 7 or 8 giving the 'V's' (and more) all through the game.

They probably see and hear worse in the playground.

I initially thought the player had done it coz he misheard the ''hoof'' chant and thought we were saying something racist i.e. without the h and the f!!

Then again what do I know?

  10. Just thought I'd share this with you all and say well done to all who were shouting his name from the rooftops!!!................

I was talking to someone who is a good mate of Cooksey's and he was sent loads of clips of the Latics fans chanting his name at Crewe.

He in turn forwarded them on to Ernie and he was in tears watching them.

What an amazing show of support from the fans.

It's nice to know he appreciates all that's being done for him. :imnotworthy:

    Cheers

    Sam :ktf:

  11. saw paul warne when he was going up the steps into the stand crying..

was he having a giggle with the old faithful in the paddock, or have we upset him????

I was lucky enough to be invited into the Lounge afterwards where Warney happily chatted to us, so much so that we were the only ones left in there!

(not just me and him I might add!!)

I've never had the pleasure of meeting such a lovely bloke (well apart from Stammy 15mins prior to that, but we won't go into that!!)

He was saying he was made up with the reception he got and was buzzing when he came on.

He did comment on the 'booing' at his first touch, and thought it was hilarious, great Northern humour that was typical of Latics fans.

He admitted that when he was walking off at the end, the emotion hit him and he cried like a baby.

I asked if he misses us and he said ''oh yes!''

I could talk about that guy all night but wouldn't want to bore everyone

    LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :applause1:

  12. Wardle sent me a text we are desperate for some new fire power up front ............. seems the missing link now.

Wardle sent me a Facebook message and said we need to drop Stammy!!!!!!!!

Don't know whether he was winding me up though coz he knows I have a soft spot for him!

It did sound like we held our own for the majority of the game.

The commentator seemed to think Davies wound their fans and players up so that didn't help, as it made the atmosphere more volatile.

    Unlucky boys! :chubb:
