Pure garbage.  Would not start with this formation again. It's okay when we are all out defending but the players looked clueless and Missilou was ineffective, as was Baxter first half.  Baxter dopped into midfield second half and he seen more of the ball.  Nothing special but at least he finds blue shirts.

Subs- strange to say the least.  Miller was injured but Branger instead of Nepo??? What has Nepo done?  

Found out today.  As someone said in another thread, it's okay to put up with the dross when we win but today.... obviously another story.  Wages may have played a part today but honestly with the way we set up i would say regardless the same result would occur.

Miller only positive and MOM.

Absolutely rubbish.  No midfield at all.  Surely Bunn can see this is not working.

3 at the back to accommodate Baxter as Bunn wouldn't drop one of his grafters.

Rubbish.  At least Miller is having a go.  No point playing Baxter if no one can pass to him.  Missolou is having a poor game.  Back 3 look shaky.  Back 4 look air tight.  Graham with ball at his feet scares me to death.  He would be better in a two, as is Clarke and young George.

Changes needed.  Revert to a 4 in def is surely needed.  Nepo on.

3 at the back is leaving us exposed.   Trying to accommodate Baxter who has touched the ball about 4 times. 

Iversion MOM.  Might as well of played 10 defenders outfield as it was a case of defending for 90 odd minutes.

Least said about the performance, tactics, game plan, the two up top, and Maouche up top, the better.

Graham to Rb??  Hopefully a 3 with two wing backs.  Strange.

Iverson earning his money tonight.  That was one way traffic in our direction,  we have no out ball so it keeps coming back.

No point having Miller and O'Grady up top as O'Grady  may have touched the ball once and Miller can't get the ball to stick.

No one seems to want the ball, they are putting us under a lot of pressure and we are clueless as to what to do, hoofing it tonight is not the answer.

Maybe stick Lang up top, bring Nepo on LW and play Baxter in midfield to hold ball.  O'Grady and Miller can watch the second half go by on the sidelines instead of the pitch.

One thing is for sure, it needs changes at half time.  Wouldn't wait 5-10 mins, change it now.

Take a point.  Clean through at the end..... would of done the same if I was the Swindon lad, would of expected an Oldham player to do likewise to be fair.

We never looked like conceding, they played in front of us, we cleared our lines, rinse and repeat.

MOM,  young George, didn't put a foot wrong, Clarke had a few last ditch tackles also.  Defence is solid.

Nothing game really.  We look solid and tuff to break down, like most of our away games this season.  Nothing up top, ball not sticking, Swindon playing in front of us with no real danger.

Branger had half a chance on the half volley from the keepers flapping at a cross but it was difficult to keep down, Miller should maybe have played Branger through when we had a break on but apart from that we haven't looked like scoring from open play.

Supported the team the whole game. the first half our set pieces were poor, in another post on this forum I held my hands up and said what do I know to the post you have quoted and made reference to the fact we scored from two set plays in the second half.   An observation regarding set pieces does not mean I do not support the team the whole game!

At home I would say that's spot on regarding Missilou , teams tend to sit back and counter.  When we play away he is far more effective, breaking up play and winning the ball.  Baxter needs to start at home.

Lang  5 - needless mistake led to the first goal and he didn't offer much  rightly subbed

 

Gardner 9 - often criticised for giving the ball away but isn't do that so much today and out his usual shit in. 2 decent crosses for goals 2 and 3

 

Missoulu  6 - did ok against a team who didn't really use midfield much but picked things up well enough.

 

Banger 5 - was ok best bits of play again with back to goal but never really threatend the Colchester defence.

 

O Grady 6 - worked hard a some decent lay offs but didn't take 1 good chance and had another blocked 

 

Sturridge 9 - will be playing much higher than this division next season alert for the tap in. Superb flick for the 2nd. Real live wire. 

 

Subs Baxter 6 knitted things together and didn't give the ball away really other than one silly needless Hollywood  ball that let then have possession in our half late on.

 

Nepo 5 didn't really get into the game few crosses blocked. I'd expect him to start next week tho.

 

Miller - 5 didn't do a great deal.

Was going to say that this was pretty harsh but looking at it, it's pratty fair.  I will say that Miller won the corner for the 3rd so he gets a 6!!

This team has some fight in them.   Brilliant come back.  They had nothing and scored 3, we helped with 2 of them.  We never stopped running, lack of quality we make up for in effort.  

Another day we win this game 3-0. 

MOM is Surridge.  Spirit in this side is good.  Feel sorry for Lang, cost us the first goal ando his head went down, taken of at half time, hope someone puts an arm round him.

By the by, said the set pieces were poor (first half they were terrible) we scored from two set pieces second half..... what do I know!

Does baraga have a must play contract.   Don't know what he provides.  Last 3 games he's been non existent,  needs to sit out for a few games.  Would of brought Dummy on for a run out but hey ho.

Ffs, another corner and a goal.  We get anything from this and I will be fuckin deligated as this is annoying beyond belief.

They are doing on us what we are doing on teams away from home.  

They are rubbish and will sit in the rest of the game.  They didn't have the ball for 15 minutes or so, we kick it wide for a corner and they score.  So very annoying.  

They are happy for us to have the ball, need to be quicker if we are to break them down.  Very one sided half in our favour- apart from the fecking goal which is what matters. 

Our set pieces are very poor.

Dummy on the bench,  bit more depth.  Good to have him back.

Would take a draw myself, 4-2 would be better though!!
