  1. I think you will be amazed then! This club get well over 20,000 at home, it's still early in the season, and they are doing fairly well. They will probably bring over 2,000.

I'm not sure about Huddersfield though, they have had a very poor start, and may not bring more than 1600, and they have also been given the large section.

On the OS it says season ticket holders have to call in at the ticket office by a specified date to be issued with a new ticket for Hudds.Leicester matches. What will happen if you dont do this ? Can you just turn up on the day of the match and just sit wherever has not been reserved ? I am concerned about reserving a seat for myself and young lad and then on the day being sat somewhere which is not suitable because of people standing etc. Would rather take a chance of just turning up so i can choose where to sit as surely the small end will not be just season ticket holders who have reserved their seats.

  2. Does this play extremely loudly for anyone else in comparison with the rest of the video?

I use headphones and find I have either change my volume or take them off for the first part of the clip. It's such an irritating jingle I wish they'd just get rid of it tbh.

I find that annoying also. But not as annoying when nothing plays until i switch to medium rather than high settings even though i am on a 8mb broadband speed.

    Whats that about ?

  3. Think it's a good thing that the club have acted swiftly on this matter although must admit to being slightly surprised that they chose the chaddy end area rather than say section L in the R.R.E.

I was there Saturday in the R.R.E. - section T with my young lad and we both thought the atmosphere in there was quality. As we have season tickets in the R.R.E. i have no intention of moving to the chaddy end.

Do think the club should have sold season tickets in all areas of the R.R.E. to maybe have pre-empted this possible issue.

Just hope everyone doesnt start to moan about kids being in the R.R.E. because not everyone felt there were any problems with the standing or swearing and i dont wish to give up the atmosphere that we experienced on Saturday just because of problems that were going on right next to the Millwall fans.At the end of the day the kids have as much right as anyone to support latics anywhere in the ground.

I honestly feel the scenes on Saturday will not be repeated except maybe when Leeds,Huddersfield and maybe Leicester visit but then as we have now found out we will have to move to the small section in the r.r.e. anyway for Hudds, and probably Leeds and Leicester as well no doubt.

  4. Are the directors being serious? More people came out of the game on Saturday buzzing and saying that it was the best atmosphere at Boundary Park in the last 10 years. I know for a fact that if the club wants to get more people into the ground they need more passion, banter and atmosphere like that against Millwall. If they want a stale, prawn sandwich eating fanbase then count me out of it!

As for standing in front of disabled fans (which I don't agree with) I think it's the clubs duty to locate them to somewhere where they wouldn't have their view blocked. I find it laughable that the club needed to tell us that disabled fans dont have the choice of standing up - err we know.

As for swearing and parents leaving with their children, don't come to football with your children and sit in the block next to the pleasant Millwall fans! I mean how stupid can you be? It's like the old boys who constantly complain about people standing up in front of you yet they always seem to sit at the back behind a group of young lads who sing at get behind the team.

The club are always quick to praise the fans and say we are the '12th man' yet if you get rid of the standing and swearing then there will be no backing of the team just constant moaning and groaning which the club also complain about!

Oh and Mr Hardy can you please define 'a bit of banter' because if you want us to behave in a mannor which suits you I would like to know how to.

I am a first time season ticket holder this season with my young lad and i must admit to being a bit concerned before the match on Saturday about where our seats would be and if the problem of people standing up in front all the time. Have to say it went far better than i could have wished for. The view we had was excellent in section t and didnt experience any problems with anyone standing up - yes people stood up after we scored and exciting periods but quickly sat back down without any fuss. Also i have been to many matches over the years in the other stands but i have to admit the atmosphere in r.r.e. was one of the best i have ever known at boundary park.

I dont feel any changes need to be made in the r.r.e but i think people shouldnt forget about the kids as surely they are the next generation of latics fans that we want to encourage to watch oldham on a regular basis rather than growing up supporting man.u and city
