  1. Try Trivago website I always use that it comes up with all london hotels by district and has the best prices from all of the reputable hotel websites and routes out the cheapest prices for you.

I alwayslike to stay in Mayfair a bit pricey but if you book well in advance you can get some good deals. Very family friendly aswell and slap bang in the middle of Londonfor all the attrations and 5 mins walking distance from Green park and Bond Street tube stations that get you anywhere.

  2. Bury must have known Latics would bring a few thousand plus some so why didnt they stick all their lot together and get has many Latics in has possible. Like has been said they had their begging bowl this week and now they are turning fans away. Shambles of a clulb, it happened a few years ago at a night match when we went we had to queue for bleeding ages to get in and the kick of was delayed by nearly an hour If I remember right.

  3. I'd take issue that she was truly working class - her upbringing was fairly austere but that was mainly down to her parents beliefs, the war and the period of austerity after the war. The fact she was supposedly working class and is often trumpeted, yet her father was a local businessman - a greengrocer and postmaster, he was also involved in local politics and served as Mayor of Grantham. Maggie went to the local Grammar School and was able to go off and study at Oxford, hardly your bog standard working class girl of the time. After Graduation, there wasn't many working class girls working as research chemists and able to study law in their spare time either.

No, I meant I am working class!!

  4. I voted no even though I admired the woman and still do. Brought up in by working class parents we fought and worked hard for everything they got and that instilled it in me to do the same aswell. Maggie came along when I started work and her beleifs were mine.

She hated football, she hated everything about it, remember she was PM in the 80's when football violence was at its worst ie Liverpool fans bringing the game and our country down at Hysel, you couldnt go the match without someone trying to kick your head in and I''m a girl!!! she wanted it stopped and she nearly got her way, probalby one of the only fights she lost.

So no, no minutes silence she wouldnt have wanted it anyway.

  5. My nephew didnt like the Chaddy against Liverpool partly because there was a scuffle bewteen Latics nad LFC fans and an old fella behind us kept shouting *SIT DOWN* which he thought was directed at him and was scared to stand up when Latics attacked.

Good job he didnt go in the 70's when I used to go in Chaddy!! Bloody hell it was murder, scraps every week, hot pies and bovril used has missiles, when Latics scored it was bedlam I used to get pushed right down the front of the chaddy, in the end I gave up and went back in the Paddocks!!! haha

Oh and he mastered the *:censored:* sign in the Chaddy aswell at the Liverpool match becuase he saw someone in front of us doing it to Brad Jones he thought he could do it, still doesnt quite understand why it is classed has rude, how do you tell a 9 year old that????

  6. Latics have always had an hardcore of about 6 - 7 k supporters till this last few years when it has slowly died off, partly due to were we are and partly I presume the lack of money, I know for a fact we cant afford to go has much has we did, yes partly our fault for living 50 miles away, but to go now its £20 in petrol, £40 for 2 tickets and nephew tags along but he doesnt cost nowt becuase he has a ST (£10) plus a drink in the pub if we are early and a bloody hotdog for nephew it all adds up. hubby is in building trade and he is earning half the amount he was earning 10 years ago and the building trade has been in recession for 5 years!!!!!! so we find it tight for money to get there every match when bills start flying throught he letterbox its either Latics or Gas Bill!!!
