  1. Just to let you know we been Anfield this morning and picked up 2 adult and 1 child but the lower centenuary is sold out apart from single seats and only tickets left in the upper and main stand, but... we got asked for prrof we had been to matches before at Anfield.

Luckily when we moved down here to Cheshire we used to split our games between going watching Latics and Liverpool and we had 2 fan cards, they havent been used for 5 years but we took them along anyway and they accecpted them!!

The nearest we got to the Latics fans is a block away in the main stand, but better than nowt

  3. Just re read what you have put and it was me who's favorite player was Vic Halom his was Andy Ritchie, we asked him that and Heath said his was Simon Stainrod and when I said mine was Vic Halom he *tutted*!!

Oh, and he was by far the best footballer the world had ever seen Craig  Once he went to watch Latics train and the ball came over to him and he took control of the ball did a few keepy uppies a bit of showboating and passed the ball back on the pitch and Joe Royle said to him *Aye, your a good little fottbalelr you* well he was so made up he never ever got over that, he was chuffed to bits that Joe Royle had confirmed that yes, he was the worlds best footballer!!

  4. First of all I would like to thank Craig for what he has put, so kind of you. Yes, that made me giggle when you mentioned Earl Barrett, he always said that!!

And secondly I would like to thank poeople on here for their kind words, it means so much to me and his family at this moment in time, its so hard to think he wont ever be here again, but he's free from pain now with the Cancer he had even though it wasnt that he died from.

Thirdly I would like to thank Latics for what they are doing, hopefully there will be a short note in the programme on Tuesday night about him and yesterday his oldest friend Gaz went to BP to ask for a copy of Mouldy Old Dough becuase thats what we want at his funeral, anyway they dont have a copy but its sorted now but when he was there he was telling the groundsman about Martin and he went away and came back with some grass cuttings from the pitch so we could put it in his coffin, I know its small thing to some people but to our martin it would mean the world to him.

His daughter is only 5 and she doesnt understand but his son is 8 years old and he is here with me at the moment and I think its starting to sink in now.

Thank you once again for your kind words. he was one in a million our kid and have a lifetime of memories we can look back on and have a giggle or cry about.

Me and Heath are so glad that his last 4 days were spent with us and on Saturday night we had such a good old belly laugh at some of the memories of following Latics (Heath a big latics fan aswell) its was unreal, such good times and memories that will live with me forever.

When we finally can come to terms with this we are taking Nathan his son to Latics to watch a match,Martin used to take him before he lost his job and money got tight, and its going to be like the good old days becuase there will be plenty of his mates who will tag along aswell.

    Thank you

  5. Just to let people know on here that my precious brother died in the early hours of Monday morning, he had been diagnosed with Cancer but it was a brain anuerism that killed him, to say we are devastated is not the right words, he leaves a wife and two beautiful children Nathan aged 8 years and Charlotte aged 5 years.

He was a mad mad latics supporter and used to love coming on here, he live din Oldham all his life uptil about 5 years ago he moved to Wakefield for his job, he hated it up there, he always wanted to come back home. Well he is coming back home, he is being cremated at Oldham Crem and his wake is being held in his beloved pub The Pleasant in Royton were we spent many many a happy day/night in there.

He had so many friends it was unreal, to many to mention and I think he had some on here that knew him, if you werent his *friend* on facebook or went int he Pleasant they I should imagine you don tknow so this is to let people know.

He loved Latics, just like our dad loved Latics, he hadnt been for a while, money issues and travelling but he always always wanted to know everything about latics and he was planning a trip to Wembley to watch them in this cup when or if they get back there. Fingers crossed they do!!

He was also a regular in the Clayton Arms before they knocked it down if people can remember him, ginger hair, quite big and very very loud!!

Anyway, just wanted to write this and let people know, I know how close nit you Latics supporters are, I am writing this on my hubbies log in, he wont mind, he's devastated to he they went everywhere together watching Latics,up and down gthe country, and one day he said he was going to write a book about his and his mates awayday experditions, unfortunately he wont be able to now.

The clud today have given his friend some grass cuttings from the pitch that we willput in his coffin and we can scatter some of his ashes onthe pitch if we want and his song at his funeral will be Mouldy Old Dough, sums him up top a tee!

RIP Martin, a heart of gold, would do anything for anybody and a die hard latics supporter. Is going to be terribly missed by family and friends.

    Your heartbroken sister

  6. Fergusons a senile arl git that needs putting out to pasture or sending the knackers yard like a knackered cart horse.

Spouting his usual :censored:e last week about Rafa saying he has no right to call Everton a small club and that rafa disrespected verton in that way, well it wasnt so long ago he was saying that about Wenger, when he said "Arsenal were only a small club and what did Wenger know about football because he had been coaching in Japan"

Then, yesterday, the biggest disrespect you can play to another club is to send out your second string players, Why?? Because he thought he could beat Everton with that side, showed no respect to Moyes at all yesterday and got his just desserts.

Your time is coming to an end ferguson, your arse is twitching and you dont like it.

Remember when he said "Liverpool, I am going to knock them of their f*cking perch" bring it on whiskey nose.

Double standards that fella has, and unfortunetly nobody has the bollocks to stand up to him.
