  1. The incident in the chaddyend was right infront of us and nothing really just a few handbags getting thrown about!! Liverpool equilised and about 4 liverpool fans decided to celebrate so got told to shut up and sit down they didnt and the two poor old fellas who were stewarding didnt want to have a punch up so it escualated then I think they were thinking of throwing a couple of punches and reinforcments arrived.

All settled down after that and we went on and beat the buggers :smoking:

  2. No tme but Hubby and brother (wakefield - Oldham RIP) went to Southampton away the cup season both had time off work, they got split up hubbymanaged to get in, broke his glasses in the mayhem that pursued after Latics equalised, lost his bank card, brother never got in he was pissed up somewhere and got to the ground late, his train broke down ont he way home so missed work the next day and got a final warning and cost us a fortune in new glasses for hubby aswell

They always said it was worth it though!

There's loads of trip he could tell if he was here still here. He always said he wold write a book about watching Latics away but never got round to it!

  3. Janet, I could not care less how many Liverpool fans are at the game, I suspect that my view is pretty much the same as Simon Corneys, Which is simply fill the ground. The cup tie will soon come, and go, and then we will be back to the reality of paying the bills, and a Liverpool fans cash will do that just the same as a once a season Latics fan.

I want the ground full aswell like do many latics fans but better full of people that used to go(aswell as the faithfull) than ful of oppostion fans, you never know it might make them start going again!!

  4. Giving Liverpool 4,600 tickets will piss many people off. That nearly half the ground given away to opposition and then they wonder why nobody turns up at Latics anymore!!! Treated like :censored:, yes hangeroners will want to go to this game, people who went years ago will want to go and support Latics, and before anyone gets angry and says swhy cant they go every week, well I would rather have them there than nearly 5k scousers outsinging us and having an advantage over us.

Get it right Latics for the suporters not for the scousers, it will sell out so they dont need to worry about that if money's there's main concern.

You never know if they nick a result it might just might encourage a few of the people who used to go a taste for it again and come back!

If Brendan Rogers puts that team out against Latics like he did against Mansfield and latics have 80% of the ground then this game is winable. Give Liverpool half the gournd then were out!

  5. The Hillsborough support groups have nothing but my total respect for what they have done and what they have gone through, it could easily have been us that day, Nothing can take away the sadness I feel has a football supporter for them, no one should go to a football match and not come home, unfortunately some LFC supporters are dragging their good name down.

Its the supporters I have a total disregard for, not all of them I cant tar them all with the same brush but really at the moment they are not very nice people.

Who can in one song chant for justice for the 96 then in the next breathe wish death on someone else?

All clubs have their idiots my god Latics do and always have had and always will have but this last few years Liverpool fabns have changed.

  6. Great man. I am at that age (just ^_^ ) that I remember Alan playing. He was a good friend of my Dads and used to drive a van when the season had finished like they used to have to do in them days, I bet they didnt get paid in the close season so had to have *another* job so to speak.

He used to get us tickets for a lot of away games and one time I think it was Hull or Barnsley away he took me into the away team dressing room to meet the players, half of them were undressed and I saw things that I shouldt have that day, being a young teenage girl!!

He married a local girl from Royton called Debbie. So sad that he died so young.

No airs and graces about him but I dont think footballers did in that day, unlike the primadonnas these days!
