  1. Firstly apologies if this has been done to death, but I can't be bothered to trawl through the board.

I know about the partnership with ALS, but are we trying to revamp the old pitch or is there a new pitch being laid? I asked this, because I was watching the latest 'This week at Latics' video interviews with Dan Gardner and Brian Wilson. At the end of the video they had the little 'outtakes' with Brian Wilson and the pitch looked dodgy close to where he was standing. Again apologies if this has been covered.

  2. O'Brein is wrong, Neil Harris wasn't happy and told a lot of those fans where to go. To legitimise a pitch invasion sends the wrong message, if you invade the pitch for winning a game then some other chavs will invade it for losing, perhaps a dodgy last-minute penalty, which could lead to a mass brawl. It's one thing for fans to OK it, but not a professional footballer and certainly not one at a club with the deserved reputation Millwall fans have.

I believe that there has been a number of arrests and I hope they identify the chavs who were abusing the Bradford players and staff, hit them with a life-long banning order and a huge fine. I have been watching football for a long time and have no desire to return to the seventies scenes of mass brawls on the pitch, which all began when numpties put it down to high spirits. Stamp it now before it goes any further.

  3. Just read some of the comments on their site, they call us ignorant, thick and all sorts of other names, then one of them says Oldham are twinned with Ian Brady and Myra Hindley. If you use the names of child murderers to take a swipe at another club then just how low on the evolutionary scale must you be.  Engaging in this childish ritual of slating other clubs and their fans because you didn't win is one thing, but that sort of comment is the work of a very sick-minded individual.

  4. Sheridan has done to us what he did to Newport and Notts. County have done to us what we did to Newport.

What gets to me is that I was mug enough to believe Sheridan's 'the club means a lot...blah. blah and apparently he's still rolling out the same crap at Notts. County ..."it was a hard decision to leave Oldham, I'll always have affection for the club and the fans"... yeah right, leave with us with 7 players at the end of May and told other players they're not wanted at the club, which he had no intention of staying at anyway if the Bolton journo's account of him looking for other clubs after the Millwall game is to be believed.

I know SC has made some blunders in the past, but I can't blame him for this (cue abuse).

Having had a rant we now have to move on, my only hope is that all potential managerial candidates who have a PowerPoint presentation are thrown out through the front door.

  5. If Sheridan goes then so be it, I've long given up on the badge kissing players and the 'everyone knows how I feel about the club' managers, so thanks for keeping us up and I wish you well at Notts. County and close the door on the way out.

We now need a new manager and quick, so I'll start the ball rolling with this. Ryan Giggs is disillusioned with his treatment at Old Trafford, so why not offer him a way into management. Paul Scholes might fancy a role in his team, I know it might seem outlandish and I promise that I'm not taking drugs or abusing solvents as I'm writing this, but let's at least sound him out.

  6. I think Sheriden, a couple of good additions and a critical 6 pointer far out way not getting as much of a bonus windfall as we thought. I think it needs some perspective - also whilst I expect openness (Shez's comments here are positive in that score) at times, it is also a business decision.

If the club did make the decision to take £150k last month then it's reasonable that they don't want that publicising - not due to rampant paranoia and incompetence reasons, but because if they are in the same situation again in the future they don't want other clubs to know we will always take the bird in the hand option.

They have sat on the knowledge that this club will get nothing from the sale of Tarkowski, even during the 'where and when' he would be going to, 'not if', they said nothing. They gave a vague 'months ago' snippet in The Chron and I'm not interested in how much they sold out for.

I realise Simon Corney is absolutely desperate to get away from the club, but that doesn't excuse the patronising rubbish that is spouted. This ranks alongside claiming the North Stand will up and running at the start of the season, we're in February 2016 and it still isn't complete, please don't insult me by saying that they didn't know the stand wouldn't ready either.

  8. It seems they want Shez to be the PR man as well as his other duties, because they are desperate to keep the 'feel good' factor about Shez coming back, Gerrard signing, the Shrewsbury win, but this 'deafening silence' about selling Tarky's sell-on clause has just about flattened it. It seems it was done 'months ago', I really am re-considering my future as a season ticket holder, because I am fed up with being treated like a mug.

I truly believed we had turned a corner with the owners\fans relationship after the GMR interview, but it's clear we've been spoon-fed the same old BS.

  9. If I remember his name correctly It's Simon Brooke, he was the one on GMR with Shez and Neil Joy.

If the Tarkowski 'sold-clause' rumour is right then the people who've been saying the football side of the club is secondary and their, by which I mean the suits who are lurking in the background, whoever they may be, only interest is financial self-gain are right and I apologise for doubting them.

The recent positive reaction to the appointment of Shez, the improvement on the pitch, the signing of Gerrard and the win at Shrewsbury is rapidly dissipating and the only people to blame for that are at the club. It's getting harder and harder to 'Keep the Faith'

  10. ...Neil Joy's promise about communication between club and fans? This was one of his points he raised on GMR. It's 12 hours since the transfer window shut and already the rumours are flowing, ie "Tarky's sell-on clause sold", which I don't believe. Seems like the club's fallen straight back into it's old ways already.
