  1. We were told that the programme sellers didn't use the room anymore and they didn't have a key. We have also been told that any programmes from this season belong to the printers and so should be going back to them, the programmes from previous seasons can be sold to make some money for BB and Player share. You might have noticed that the room was tidied up quite a bit on Saturday but the only thing we got rid of was empty boxes and crap off the floor so I don't know where your gear for cashing up has gone.

As far as we knew, Strike it Lucky use the room 1-2 and we can use it afterwards.

    It's not your fault Lisa.

It seems that every man and his dog was told - just not the programme sellers!!

(PS - I really need to set up an account for myself on here don't I!!)

  2.

I have only seen four posters say remotely negative things about the scheme none of whom (as far as I know) have receive free tickets do they ?

I have never received free tickets...

I think only BP1960, Lee Sinnott and Slye Stallone who have also said anything removed negative ?

I haven't seen anyone attempting to put people off either. I think its simply airing of opinion...

Don't worry yourself oafc0000 - Barry's comment looks to me (and a few other people) to be directed at me!!

  3. We were told that the room would be free from 2pm on match days and at Half time and with space minimal at BP it was the only option.

As for the other matter, it isnt just you guys that things have changed for. If you have any questions mate you have my number give me a bell.

As expected mate - like I said, not a dig at you just arseholes within the club.

I know it isn't just us that things have changed for, what has really got on my tits is the fact that no one has had the common courtesy to even attempt to discuss a way forward with us or even let any of us know when as it appears a decision had been taken, it felt really good that all the strike it lucky guys knew exactly what was happening with us but we didnt!! They've just let us turn up for the first two games, work hard, stand around in the pi55ing rain (Saturday) and then we find out from the stewards that we can't come into the ground, even though our office in the back of the Chaddy is where we are supposed to go to cash up.

We finally managed to get in the ground to sort ourselves out, get to the office and find it's been turned into a bloody tuck shop and all our gear for cashing up had vanished.

As I said, not blaming you, I expected that you'd have been told you could use it. Just OAFC and the powers at be shafting people who've been good to them for a number of years without even a second thought.

The joke of it is, if anything it's going to back fire and I really hope it does.

    Fuming!! :ranting:

  4. where is it mentioned about the Chaddy being closed on Tuesday ?

We can only do the tuck shop and programmes sale in the chaddy at the moment due to available space.

Would those be the programmes in our programme office that some arsehole at the club decided should now become a tuck shop without having the courtesy to let us know??

OAFC at it's finest once more!!

PS - that's not a dig at you Rick, I've no doubt that you were told that it was free for you to use, just fuming at whichever prick has decided to shaft a bunch of us who have worked so hard over the past few years (10 in my case & longer in someothers) flogging programmes in the wind & pissing rain to try & make the club as much money as possible!!

  5. Sorry to be negative on a very positive story, but the admission here that there may or may not be 1200 pounds somewhere in a Trust account which may or may not have been used for something or other is enough for me not to want to contribute to another trust scheme. I will give money directly to the club.

The scoreboard fund was absolutely nothing to do with the Trust (it was a club initiative) so wind your neck in getting excited thinking that you have another opportunity to have a dig at the Trust.

  6. Completely agree.

Apart from as you mention; It spurs him on – we’d also be massive hypocrites as well, all of a sudden booing and jeering him for what he’s done, when he was dam near hero-worshipped by many in his time with us.

You can just see him scoring though can’t you – and doing that bloody dance right in front of the Chaddy or something!!

At least if he does it in front of the Chaddy there'll be no frigger there to see it :D

  7. First goal was pretty good. Second was a nice pass from Reuben which was completely missed by the cameraman and the third one, well....Brooke ahead of Abbott? I don't think so.

to be fair Brooke did a great job for the third goal, the ball was too heavy for him to score himself, he knew where Brooke was and laid it on a plate for him!

Those 2 look really good up top together, there's a real understanding between them. It's great to see.

  8. Standard price for a hard back book, you want to see how much some of the books essential to my teaching qualification were! Some upwards of £100!!!

Believe it or not I know exactly where you're coming from Prozac! Considering some of the :censored:e I had to read and pay stupid amounts for, £20 for something that is interesting to read will be well worth parting with!!!

  9. Niall Quinn thought he was a superb player, but because he didn't beat men for fun and wasn't the quickest - preferring to stick an early ball in, the thick Mancs deemed him lazy, despite him being City's top provider!

The game v Watford you refer to was a 4-1 win in November 1990

Tommy Wright was my hero because of his all-action and swashbuckling style, but for sheer quality of delivery and consistency in crossing, Rick Holden was the man.

Would that be the cheeky Andy Ritchie back heel game with David James in net with a horrendous Tony Daley esq hair do?!?!

  10. Unsusbtantiated rumours are not covered by the Data Protection Act, the handling of personal data is - your info is likely to be covered by libel laws...McGoo?

    Give me some credit Paul!!

I might defend people arrested and charged with criminal offences (innocent until proven guilty and all that!!) but at least that's interesting, exciting law! I steer well clear of boring stuff like that! You probably know about as much about it as I do!!

However, while we're on the subject - any of you ever get arrested, you know where to come!!!

    Chris

  11. As I have only ever heard them on TV, I have no idea what they would be like if actually hearing them in person. I would hazard a guess that the people who have decided to ban them also have never heard them live. Everyone who I have heard speak about them who was at the World Cup loved them. It seemed that the only people who were moaning were the people watching on TV. So for that reason, I wouldn't ban them....plus, it's not like BP is usually rocking anyway.

I'd love to know who you've been talking to Dave, I was at the world cup and did 3 of the 4 games (only missed the USA game) they were the most horrendous thing I've ever encountered & every England fan I spoke to agreed, in fact the amount of England fans threatening to stick them up peoples arses was unreal.

Absolutely the right thing to do in banning them, whoever thought mindless blowing of a

plastic trumpet at football was a good idea needs shooting! And had clearly never experienced a proper football atmosphere. The relief when we as England fans managed to drown them out in Port Elizabeth & then in Bloemfontein was there for all to see!

  12. Well, no not really. There is still potential for the Feeney move to fall through, like it did with Moore, and you'd think they would have learnt from last time.

It's a fairly school-boy error to count your chickens, yet the club have done it.....again!!

To be fair to the club, on this occasion there were Feeney rumours in the Chron yesterday, followed by Feeney giving a statement to the BBC saying we were the club he wanted to play for as PD & GT had sold the club to him, then he's at the match last night with his family.

If the club hadn't have said anything about it they would have been criticised for 'not just telling people' when it is obvious to anyone with even half an eye that he's almost nailed on a Latics player.

Relax, it will go through when it goes through, what's to say he hasn't signed & we are just waiting for the FA to confirm the registration.

If it doesn't, oh well, :censored: happens, look for someone else.

  13. I've been doing it for the last 3 / 4 years and have loved doing it however I'm now unable to dedicate the time required to the task. You do get a free copy of the game and the guys at SI are great to work

for and with and will give you as much assistance as required. It's a great thing to be part of so if anyone has anything serious to add then I'm sure Dean would be really grateful, although I suppose the reaction his post has received was only to be expected.
