I'm in for MK. The crapness of the town and limited range of pubs is never a barrier to getting smashed.
The family may or may not join depending on the weather. MK has some sentimental value (a true oxymoron...) as I met the Mrs at the tail end of a long and thirsty day that had featured the 6-2 drubbing

If anyone fancies it you're welcome to jump on the eurostar one weekend in August or September, stay at mine, watch some league 1 - standard football with beer in hand, and get smashed.

Agree on Millwall Hughes game.
The other I remember from a few years ago when the OASIS lot went to the Swindon "firm's" pub after the game. Danny helped avoid an incident because he knew one of them from local footy. But I then had to spend half an hour pretending to be impressed while some idiot proudly recounted the highlights of his football violence CV

Cheers yes I'm on the chat now thanks

They did really do that!
But they both live in London so not too big a trek (probably getting pissed in a pub on the river now). I told my sister to check on here where people were meeting up before going to a game as she has met the oasis lot at Latics games before, but clearly didnt...

Doesn't seem to be on today. Will it be on later or is there no one to run it today? (just started listening to the commentary and wondered how we have played so far).
On a separate matter I just had a text from my sister who had finally got rounf to going with her mate from Bradford to watch a Latics game. They didn't check the fixtures list carefully enough and got laughed at by the groundsman when they rocked up at Griffin Park an hour ago!

Ah yes player audio working now! Am outside the UK so can;t listen to the BBC radio (oddly harder than watching UK TV abroad...)
-
Is there Latics Player commentary on this or do I need to listen on 5 live? Cheers
-
Great! Think we will be seeing you Saturday then
-
Deano - thanks for the info. Do you have tv and will you be showing the rugby league semi final between England and new Zealand (1pm Saturday on BBC), cheers
-
Good - I was worried no-one was going at one point!
-
Alex - good see you at st pancreas. Pete is getting the same train and Ben may be following a bit later. Will ask the local landlords nicely to show northern rugby and see how we get on...
-
Fast 1155 train I was thinking. Can watch egg-chasing on a pub (no idea which is best - ideas.?)
-
Why drive when you can get the beer train?
-
I'm back in blighty for this one and very much looking forward to the usual drunken procedure. Only problem is the 4-5% beer tastes really pissy now. Hopefully be a decent attendance even though it's not the most glamorous of away days.
(My last game was watching Mons lose at home to Genk. Mons are bad enough I reckon even Latics would beat them about 4-1)
-
Joe - great we should see you there
-
I'm back for this one. Anyone else happen to be going up and having a beer before.
-
So far I've seen all the suspects I would expect except Wolfenden

Listening to the last 15 minutes today was horrible! But it does show a lot more character that we hung on
Gutted I can't make Monday, and as it's now looking more like 1 from 3 to go down a massive, massive game
-
I've been having a look and flying over seems expensive! Will decide whether to try to get time off from the boss in the next couple of days.
Excellent fun yesterday by the way. I'm still hungover...
-
Any firm plans on the pre-game pub or is that a silly question?
We're heading to my parents' for lunch first but should go to the pub by the time those who've come up on the 12 o'clock train do

^IMPOSTER.
The investigation begins.
The other Alex is "the Norwegian", based on Danny's subtle reading of accents
-
Looks like I can get a £55 return flight if I come on Saturday morning (manchester at 12) and leave on the sunday evening flight I got last weekend). Only question is do I book the flight now, or risk it getting more expensive if I wait to be sure I can actually get hold of a ticket....

Will do the same
OASIS Christmas Party - Bletchley 20 Dec
in OASIS Messageboard

Yes that is absolutely correct. Two ciders at half time, one during the second half, then the one and only time I've ever left a Latics match early.
May buy another chicken if we win this time
