Our goalkeeper was player of the season though.
None of them have a goal in them whether from open play or set pieces - I bet this seasons goals from defence figure is an all time low or very close.
None of them can pass or carry the ball particularly well which impacts us negatively further up the pitch and none of them are leaders/vocal enough.
There's not an ounce of ooomph amongst them.
Yes, agree. our 4/5 at the back have contributed almost nothing, from the midfield forward.
Kitching played 43, no goals and no assists. Hobson 33 played, no goals and no assists. Raglan played 31, no goals and no assists. Hogan, played 41, 1 goal, no assists. That,, must be a record even at 5th league level.

Goal post and nets are staying. No change to Joe Royle stand.

His opening comment, of "they were knackered". Constitutes a crap excuse for losing another home game . Halifax played three games this week, the last one being a 0-3 away win to clinch a playoff spot. do Halifax have super human players ? or is his excuse just more crap.

Ill be there tomorrow and Ill be there next season .... not out of habbit but because Im a suporter of OAFC. Yes they piss me off ... yes they have been shit ... Ill save the emotion for whan were promoted. I just need to lie down for a bit
Most of us will be there next season too. But there are plenty of our fans that have just had enough this season.. I am just praying that I live long enough to get emotional about a promotion campaign.

Lets just make it simple. Instead of signing lots of dross, most of whom have a chip on their shoulder, and an attitude problem . Or are arrogant. And those that don't want to put the hard graft and dedication in to actually achieve something.. And only seem to be interested in achieving a footballers lifestyle .
Find some young fellas who's sole aim in life, is to become a success at actually being good at playing football.

I did, but that wasn't when I was stood in the away end and could see how many people were there...
I think that the last few days leading up to the game was such a disorganized mess, that most folk had just given up on it.
There will also be plenty who have seen enough this season, and give tomorrow a miss too.

But you said on Twitter there were 1000 Oldham fans there...
And you said that there would be more than 1400 Latics fans there.

Is there a single positive to take from this season? Anything at all? Any sign that things might be better next season.
Yes. It cannot possibly get any worse. Oh hang on a minute.

Can't bring myself to go Saturday, disillusionment has set in
Totally understand. They have bloody destroyed me this season. What bike have you got ? I have a 650 Kawasaki Versys.

We have far more deep rooted problems than just this of course, but it’s a shame Green got injured a few weeks ago. He’s probably the only player on the books who attacks with pace.
Yes, but only for 15 minutes.

Well our leading scorer is on the bench.

I’m not having a go at the fans, as such.
I am simply saying the atmosphere and the acceptance that we arnt going to make the play offs seemed to set in far earlier than it should have. I include myself in that.
But it's the job of the players to lift the fans ,not the other way round. Apart from the Aldershot game, and maybe the first half against Chesterfield ( who had already thrown the towel in for the season ) the fans have had NOTHING to shout about, or show any enthusiasm for. The players have somehow found a way to silence the Athleticos along with the rest of the home fans. And all season long the only atmosphere in the ground is generated by a couple of hundred away fans.

Can’t imagine there’ll be much clapping going on. If we get beat tonight then Saturday will be toxic to say the least!!
Do you think they’ll even bother with the end of season awards night?
No they should cancel the awards evening. Who could possible win player of the season. There has been not one player who has stood out, who has carried us through a mediocre season. As for young player of the year !!!! the first team has no young players. Most are old crocks looking for a last pay day before hanging their boots up, apart from an odd game as sub for the dog and duck. And players player of the year could be most revealing. It could only possibly be Norwood, simply because he has actually scored a few goals. and yet team player he is not. So who gets that award?

Do you not want to give our heroes a rousing send-off on Saturday??
Don't see why the fans should give them any kind of send off. Almost to the man they have been bloody awful, and have never shown any desire to win, or even put any fight, spirit or will to win into their games. The lot of them have been shocking.

This was contrary to the Couto I saw last night who bombed forward at every opportunity, sent over some excellent crosses, particularly low and could have bagged 2 goals.
Even against Mickelover and Hendon I don't recollect Kitching doing that.
Couto is ours. Nobody has seen him play for us for ages. He may well have come on leaps and bounds. He still very young. And most of all he couldn't possibly be worse than Kitching.. Lets at least have a look at the lad.
-
Let's guess the gate for tomorrow night. I think 1,400.
-
For me Kitching has been one of many disappointments. He never seems all that interested, when the opposition break he strolls back half arsed. can't kick with his right foot , can;t head a ball, and never gets a tackle in . Ok two or three times a game, he may get a cross in, but they never lead to anything . Just one of many with an attitude problem. I will be glad to see the back of him.

It would be nice if we could talk IN the fans bar.. Ya can't hear yourself think because of a bloody disco playing. Fans bars are for like minded fans, talking about the game , and about football in general. NOT shouting at each other over loud music.
