BBC GMR sports show said that the board had told Dave Penney that Taylor and Eardley were being put up for sale . Jimmy Wagg and Fred Eyre were discussing the effect the loss of these 2 players would have on the Latics next season. Yhis was a genuine story apparently and some Latics fans were calling in to speak to the presenters.
