That was a foul all the day long. The player jumped at the keeper with his arm raised slightly pushing Cisak. 9 times out of 10 that would be a foul especially if it was the other way round.

Anyway, it was great to see the fightback which I havent seen for a long time at Latics. Usually at 2 nil down you could safely say we would lose the game but even when they got that dubious 3rd we thought back and got just rewards.

The ballboy would of won it for me. The way he fooled the defender to waste a bit of time was genius

Considering it was only his 5th (?) start and his favourite position is midfield, I thought Mellor was superb. He defended well (with help from Taylor) against Chadwick and was a great outlet going forward. This kid has the promise of a great future in football at a higher level.

Thank god its not just me. Awful today and has been pretty much all season. Wouldn't just limit it to the 2nd half him not winning headers, was completely misjudging it all game. Very lucky not to give a pen and what was that 5 yard pass to Diamond about...or it should've been a 5 yard pass to Diamond!

 

I'm a big fan too of MVoto (or at least him last season). On the flip side I thought Reid (who I'm defo not a fan of!) was pretty decent.

I wasnt the only one around me (bottom tier main stand near rocky rd) who thought Mvoto was bad. I also agree with Reid comment. Thought he was really good today (best game i've seen him play ina blue shirt). Ball to his feet, he did brilliantly today.

Must of been watchin a different game cause I thought Mvoto was shocking today (I am a big fan of him as well). Didn't win an header second half and looked out of sorts (looked ill to me). Completely misjudged the ball everytime it came near the man (Novak or Lee) when it came near him. Also did a lunge in the box which could have been a pen if it wasnt for covering.

Personally I would put Clarke back in for him next game.

utter crap - at the time it was the right decision - TTA backed him to the hilt budget wise and he wasted it on crap, not-needed loanees and the whole season fell apart from jan onwards.

Watched the first episode last nite and thought it was pretty good. I will be watchin the rest of the series for sure.

I should think one of the most difficult things for a rookie manager to learn in lower league football is how to work with and get the best out of the players he ends up with rather than the ones he wanted.

 

Plus he has to learn exactly what type of player he wants and which characteristics work well and which don't - and generally speaking the only way to learn that is through trial and error.

 

Most experienced managers would be happy with a successful signing ratio of 50%, I think we should be grateful if Dickov's is better than one in three.

Did Dickov not say he had been watching/after Jones as soon as he got the job? Or something along those lines?

There is a great manager game free and online at the moment which im playing with a few mates. You take charge of a team and basically manage them day to day. The games are played sat and tues nights. Its goood when you can get mates playing in the same gameworld as you for rivalry, plus you can write newspaper headlines abusing other teams which everyone in the gameworld can see.

To stop people moaning about Stephens being allowed to go to Soton on loan, does anyone think the club should come out and tell us the cost we are saving? Or does anyone know this already?

Am I the only one who thinks both yellows were correct decisions? it may be my eyesight but it looks like Van Persie is looking at the lino putting the flag up when he receives the ball and his pi$$poor shot (I would have booked him for that alone ) was halfhearted as if he knew he was offside.

Although I still believe it wouldnt have been a yellow if he was wearing a Barca shirt

Better atmosphere?

If anything I think the atmosphere will be worse (if thats possible? ), as most of the 'atmosphere' I hear is from a small minority in the Rocky Rd end. Now they will be spread out in the other two stands and unless there's a sound mic in the Chaddy end only the players will be heard on Sky TV.

Evening all, I know we sometimes have differences on here, its to be expected as we all have diff opinions, however with whats going on off the field, is it possible that at the gayfarm tomorrow, we get behind the lads and sing for 90 minutes, for those that were there a kind of dagenham atmosphere, lets bring 3 points home and get them playoffs secured, No matter if were 1 nil or 2 nil down or whatever the score for that matter lets get behind the lads, this season may be our last, lets get behind the team.
