I'm not so sure if we will loose the atmosphere- if Leeds fill the stand then yes i think we will loose some of our home advantage but correct me if I'm wrong haven't Leeds struggled to bring more than 3000 fans with them for the League (the stand holds 4500) due to some membership scheme that Papa Smurf has introduced and I'm not so sure that will change just because its the cup- especially if its on TV.

But everytime we've played them its been a night match. I think if this draw is sat or sun they will bring more than 3000.

Its on BBC report showing 4 subs were made as well!

I think £40 for two home games in one week is expensive so must would chose sat game, no work, etc. £40 is for one Adult!!! think about people with kids, that is alot.

Not sure if someone already mentioned it but shouldnt he be slowly worked back into the first team like putting him as sub and giving him 20mins at the end to see how he fairs. Would this not of been better especially because he is a key player to us?

Anyway, i think its quite funny (makes me forget how bad the rubbish is on the pitch at the moment for a few minutes a day).

Most of the main stand are not moaning old farts, there was nobody in there shouting for Penney's head or Sheridan back.

 

Its also the main stand that doesn't have an atmosphere. They may not chant for Penneys head (which no one should be after 6 games) but i never hear them getting behind the team singing.

At least RRE try to make an atmosphere although it has recently turned to abusing the team after 10mins of no entertainment and being told to sit down (which is all wrong i agree).

I remember going to an away game and we was all chanting his name thinking we where going to sign him! Unfortunately he couldnt get a work permit (St Kitts and Nevis international).

One thing i noticed from tonights games (and others) is when will England get a player who can take a corner?

Beckham took 20 or so corners tonight and i can only count three that actually beat the first defender at the near post.

Favourites recently beating city 1 nil (bragging rights with city mates lasted for months!), at home beating forest 5-0.

Carlos winner at West Ham in the league cup was worth the long trip on week night.

Even though we didnt win the littlewoods cup final, seeing my home town team coming out at Wembley was picture never forget!

I think as fans we should do more. I enjoy a game far more when there is a bit of atmosphere. The problem is there are far too many people who just want to sit down all game and say nothing until a player makes a mistake. More people need to get in the mood, how much more fun is it when you're having a good sing? The players need to play their part and give people something to shout about, but how about we just get behind them regardless at the start of the game and see what happens? Yeah, yeah, yeah I know i'm gonna be a happy clapper for saying all this, but it's not about turning a blind eye to diabolical performances like Saturday, it's more about making the game more enjoyable regardless of the performance. The team generally respond everytime we really throw ourselves behind them beacuse it builds a kind of seige mentality amongst the fans and that often plays out on the pitch. Do you think we had nothing to do with the fight shown away at Leicester? That's not to say that us getting behind the team will see us win the Champions Leage in 5 years time and it's not going to irradicate performances like that on Saturday but it's worth several points a season i reckon. We need the players to want to play for us not just for the cash they get guarenteed at the end of each week.

another part of the problem is the stewards. Rocky rd end try to make some noise but then stewards tell them to sit down and the atmosphere as gone. This is when you can here all the booing and players getting abused.

no way the 10 ejections were all latics fans. one in the mainstand lower was a latics fan (supposedly, i havent seen him there all season before monday) but i counted at least four others who were leeds fans ejected cos they were in the wrong end, and thats just near me.

Deffo not all latics fans thrown out. I was in the main stand lower and the latics fan i know. He was thrown out for swearing at trundle (which is fair enoguh) but the other 4/5 where Leeds fans in the wrong end.

ps He is a latics fan who usually sits in the rocky rd end with us. Also been to a couple of local away games with us. Only really started coming regular this season (turned him from a red!)

Agree, give him till end of season at least. He needs to create a plan B!.

I always felt we where known for letting late goals. I always half expected the other team to score in the last 10 mins, with one eye shut, sweating, hoping not!

Looks like there is no need to panic ,after 80mins we (fans) can relax knowing the job is done (if we are winning)!
