Just out of interest does the amount the male has had to drink make any difference? The woman in this case was very drunk so couldn't give proper consent (I think that's what I read anyway) does the amount the male drank affect his defence?

I'm going to do a bit of a U turn now. Jus been on the blades forum an have a new point of view. A lot on there are saying CM met her on the night out had a laugh she agreed to get in taxi an agreed to go to the hotel. CE however turned up uninvited and joined in. You could say took advantage of the situation. Lookin at it like that can defiantly see why they gave CM as innocent an CE guilty

I don't know enough about the case to be honest. But with McDonald taking her to the hotel and workers at the hotel giving evidence saying she was unable to stand at times. Seems strange it wasn't both. As for the guy watching though the window
Dunt no the unable to stand bit
-
Arrived mid act and watched, mcdonald asks the girl if ched can join in, she apparently agree'd but the defence said she was in no fit state to consent...
If that's the case should he carry a breath tester with him? Maybe that's making light of a serious matter but at what stage does she become in no fit state? An how wud he no she has reached that specific stage? Still both or neither for me
-
Will end up getting a re-trial and acquittal.
Probably. Seems strange that one got done an one didn't when she didn't remember anything. Surely both or neither? Don't think this is the end of it thoUgh

Arm the kits goin to be by Fila this year??

Originally didn't want compensating. It was a good idea and worth a try but now I have jus clicked yes. And that was before reading that I actually paid quite a bit more than pay on the Sayers as I missed the discount period last year. It's frustrating to say the least an then we find that once again the ticket prices are so high for a ever increasingly poor product with the discount period once again slashed.
I don't no why but I had a feeling that the price would be reduced this season. Thought there would be a big push to boost the number of ST holders but once again nothing. No sign of an compensation for the golden ticket which equates to yet another false promise. I can't afford to renew as things stand and if I could would be reluctant as has already been said by someone the club seem to take advantage and take for granted the ST holders
Will be picking and choosing next season which I have a feelin may result in me missing a few

can you bring someone like that into an existing set up though?
in hindsight he should have gone for an older head instead of Taggart.
difficult to bring someone in now - "here's your new assistant manager lads. he knows more than Gerry did and more than me"
well ye it could be awkward but if gerry carried on working alongside dickov and the new man then he would learn and benefit aswel?
-
wouldn't/shouldn't such a person be the actual manager?
if that was the case were would the new managers come from? lennie lawrence does it at crystal palace now helping out dougie freeman and im sure cardiff have an experienced man helping mackay. it wouldnt be the first time its happened anywhere would it. could work wonders
-
Dickov's inability to make a telling substitution
for me this is were we need an older more experianced assistant manager. someone who can give him a nudge an say no not right now or how about give him a go might open the game up a bit more. just soe one with a bit of nous about hi who can help with changing a game

i think sacking himwould be the wrong thing to do. we need consistency and with the budget we have hes doing a good job. however with the players we have, the likes of kuqi, wes, furman, simpson, mvoto, cisak and lee we should be higher up the table. we should probably be talking about a realistic push for the playoffs. he is inexperianced so you have to give himsome leeway but at the same time he needs to start learning from his mistakes and pretty fast. the most common being him seemingly wanting us to get to 60 minutes in the lead and then sit back and defend. were not good enough to defend for long periods and colchesters goal was inevitable last night as soon as we started inviting pressure. yet this seems to be his plan more times than not. the few games this season we have gone out and attack for long periods we have looked really good and the opposition doesnt know what to do with us however this rarely happens. most of the time we attack for the last ten minutes in a hopeless attempt to rescue a game that we should have won long before. its decisions like taking off KMB on tuesday that wind people up. that was a negative move an resulted in negative football and ultimatly throwing away two points again. dickov certainly has potential to be a very good manager and at times shows that with the type of football we play but he needs to find more consistency inhis team, stop making the same mistakes and find the teams strengths and work with them instead of focusing on weaknesses. positivity promotes positivity

Now I may be being overly pessimistic brought on by the despair of Monday night but I'm not worried about this season but next season I am. We have about 6 of the first team squad signed up for next year an no talk of extending deals. All we hear is were losing a million a season an we have his missed out on a big big pay day. I wouldn't be suprised if the contract talks depended on u's gettin to wembly. So next season we have to cut upto 1 million pounds that to me says we will have a lot of loan signings and youngsters on small contracts an low wages. I think next season coul be a big up hill struggle
Either that or we will get took over by a wealthy investor sign a host of unspotted talent and walk the league

Could it not be to try an prevent latics fans getting them in liverpool end?
-
Ye I av done. I dreamed I was playin centre half with Nathan Clarke. It was 0-0 after 85 mins and Liverpool sent on there new striker to try an win the game .... Fernando Torres. You heard it here first!
-
Cripes, I've been marked down for making suggestions that would benefit the club financially.
Latics fans don't appreciate good ideas. Plus it doesn't suit the glory hunters does it
-
Bollocks it will. They can't just go about moving our other games and I'm sure Chesterfield would be unimpressed at moving a game eleven days beforehand.
We'd play on 4th round day as if we were through and whoever we play on 4th round day would be postponed.
What he said
-
Wow it's as if we have never played an away game mid week before! Man up a bit. We get to go to anfeild an watch our team take on Liverpool. An have 6000 of u's outsinging the kop an typical latics fans still go lookin for negatives
-
Corney said on BBC Five Live that he would consult the fans on the Friday/Sunday issue.
Realistically it was never going to be possible was it
-
Why will Merseyside police be bothered about the Manchester derby which will use the Greater Manchester Police force?
Because Greater Manchester police travel to every latics away game an watch the latics fans

We played tranmere away on a Friday night about 5 years ago an took as good if not better following than usual an the game were Davies scored last min winner was a night game an still we had a very good followin. Why does having an extra 15 mins to get there make such a big difference?
-
Great news. Cheered me right up that!!
What are peoples reasons for being against it vein Friday night? Night games always have better atmospheres it's guns be electric
-
Hope it's Friday I can't go on a shnday
-
Disappointed this isn't being played on a Saturday. Hope it's the Friday as Sunday is a no go for me
