  1. You can get heated cover, a bit like gigantic electric blanket. If we had just used that on the coldest part of the pitch (under the main stand), with a thermostat set to flick on the heating elements at minus 2 or whatever, then it wouldn't have been a problem. If the cluib is so short of money to invest in something that will repay many times over, I suggest we start a fundrasing campaign!

B&Q sold out at 9am apparently alex fergie bought them for his garden.

  2. Fine, leave the future of the club to others. It is a mistake to think just turning up and paying your money every week ensures safety.

It isnt a mistake its fact anyone can say im not going then moan why we are doing bad what do thay expect we aint no real madrid we count on fans this is what we havnt got look at leeds thay dropped 3 divisions thay didnt lose any fans we drop 3 divs and lose 15k+ fans our fan base is perfetic

  3. He made a statement as a club director. He is more than free to do that. Problem is, it IS a tad different than a "fan" ranting their opinion

A question for you. Do you think his words have united the fan base ? Do you think stay aways are likely to return after hearing this "rallying" call ?

Tbh i couldnt care less i support my team not the people behind the scene i will go to watch my shaby team what ever goes on.

  4. Maybe I am being picky but I would suggest as a club director he could of given it more thought.

Out of interest and something of a side isse... Is Barry's name recorded at companies house as being a director ?

Well he is upset wiht the way things are going on and of the field like we all are we also like to have our say on the forum some more then others, he is entitled to have his say aswell weather people like it or not its a forum freedom of speach and all that bollox.

  5. Chris Moore's big problem was firstly he was naieve he though it only cost a few million to get to the premiership once he realised how much it was going to cost him about £30million then and probably about £50million now he got out. The second problem was that he lied telling us repeatedly that he wasn't going to walk away from the club and then hanging us all out to dry we really don't want someone like that running our club. Remember him leading the applause on the lap of honour at the last home game of the play off season. Quite happy to have his ego massaged wasn't he.

Mr Moore is vacating his dual role as chairman and a director of the club and becomes Honorary President saying he wants to concentrate on improving the share price of his Oxfordshire IT company, Torex, which has been hit by the stock market crash.

It is estimated that Moore has invested over £3 million in the club since purchasing the majority shareholding in 2001 for a nominal fee.

Speaking to the club website, Moore denied he was paving the way to leave the club, adding that he had no intentions of giving up his majority shareholding.

He said: "I own 95 per cent of the club now and I have put in a massive commitment to the club.

"We are still in a very precarious financial position and I can't keep on funding it for ever.

"As anyone who has seen the Torex share price go down it has put immense pressure on me and it has put me in a position where I just can't keep on writing cheques out.

"The financing of the club is secured, so no one will have to worry about that in the immediate term."

Latics' financial losses - which peaked at £50,000 a week in October - have been funded by Moore's reduced personal fortune. His present stake in Torex, which is 10.12 per cent, is worth about £19.5 million at the current share price.

  6. The only way we are going to go forward is with a big investment, without that investment on the pitch we are going down simple as that.

I belive any manager would strugle at oafc, i know everyone hates chris moore etc but tbh he gave us excitement and he had balls to put the cash in im sure he didnt want his cash to run outand oldham to go into administration pitty his bizz :censored:ed up or we would be a championship side now.

  7. Not at all.

I respect those who have a view other than mine, what gets me is that what they base their views around (some, might i add, not all), is nothing short of dumbness and not stopping for a minute and seeing things in a bit of perspective aside from the 'here, now, must have it now' mentality.

I want success as soon as the next person, but it aint gonna happen with the cycle of change manager, change players, 8months, change manager........ the past 3/4 years shows this doesnt work.

Sheridan had 3 years, lets give DP the same shot eh, then any new manager down the line would appreciate that they may be given some decent period of time to do something. DP certainly, on the basis of his cv appear to be the worst we have had and certainl doesnt come across that way in how he has done the job so far, circumstances have dictated how he has performed, eg injuries = unplanned loan signings, unsettled team etc

What i have thought all along im looking forward to next season derby's against rochdale :D:D:D

  8. consistent team = consistent performances = consistent results = promotion

not once this year has DP been able to pick his best team and keep it that way for a good 10-12 games. You think he likes swapping players every week?

Is a new defence every week helping player performance and team cohesion? No.

Wait til everyone (bar the two long termers) is back and in a settled team, things will change

Are u having a go at me for agreeing with you? lol
