How many times last season did Eardley snap and end up shouting at someone ? even the crowd once , even if it was his fault he looked bothered and looked like he wanted to put things right , not seen one person stand up to Gregan this season. Strikers are confidence players and Abbott is running low. I looked in the paper today and he got a mark of 5. Obviously he needs a break.

 

I think playing 4-5-1 and grinding out a couple of dour draws has to be the next step. We need to become hard to beat. Abbott plays to deep to carry out a lone strikers role.

From the first time i saw this guy i just could not understand why penney had brought him in, The only reason i could think is that hes versatile and can play almost any position bar striker, only problem being hes terrible werever he plays , I know penney has signed some poor players this summer but this guy is the pick of the bunch. It will be a terrible, dull game against Carlisle. We should boycott it. Penney and the owners need to go before they ruin Oldham Athletic.
