  1. Aren't you a super fan;) I think if you actually read what tangerine and rummy wrote properly you would realise these guys are still fans of Oldham.

Even taking in one game a year tangerine is watching more than most people from Oldham anyway so don't really see why this annoys you?

There are a few football fans from other towns that take an interest in how Oldham are doing as well, I've got a few friends that take a genuine interest in how Oldham are doing, some even having a flutter, me, I have no connection other than marriage and friendship in Oldham, although I've always looked out for results since the glory years whilst stationed in faraway places.

  2. http://www.redliontruckstop.com/ not bad for food and £2 per pint while football is on, £2.60 when it isn't...there is no carpet but when you see the lorry park you'll understand why.

Exit j16 M1 southbound, turn left, up to the roundabout, take the turning back towards the m1 and it comes up on left hand side, 2 mins from m1 to roundabout and back to m1.

  3. When a player goes down injured they should be moved off the pitch for treatment unless they need to be stretchered off.

There's no need to be sitting in the six yard box sipping Lucozade whilst the physio gives you a stroke (so to speak).

I thought any treatment given had to be done so off the pitch, wasn't sure whether it was just one of those things that isn't really enforced...

  4. after what I thought was a fair team effort last night im struggling to see what he brings to the team, his dead balls are criminal to the degree that wolves knew to pack the front post when he delivered his corners he just cant hit the back stick of penalty spot and the ball never beats the 1st man.

after some decent pressure early in the second half he was directly responsible for the breakdown in play which led to wolves going up the other end to score, he doesnt have any pace or a trick to beat a man and invariably cuts inside and either lays it off or loses it how he got back in last night is a mystery especially on the right, youd of thought he would of stepped up but he didnt and for me has run out of chances.

, LJ is going to have to put personnal friendships aside and do the right thing.

my final point is why take charlie of when he looked like he could sneak one for us he was full of running and looked dangerous why didnt he drag dayton off who did as much last night as he did in 20 minutes on saturday .

? must give specially mention to ox who was immense keeping us in the game also thought tarky, wes, korey and charlie did there bit

  5. IF he's in big demand, IF lots of clubs are (seriously), interested why, given it's public knowledge that there are two bids around £250/300 K , havent other clubs bid about the same or a little more?

If , say, Blackburn were keen then surely they'd want to bid a low amount like this before someone else signs him

Could be that not many think he's worth even that, or that they know Latics are asking more.

Could be lots of things but, right now, there isn't a massive auction for him.

Could be that they are biding their time, isn't over til the fat lady sings.

  6. I go into match chat and it says that the chat room is loading but doesn't show any other members posts, the page shows me who else is in the chat room and shows my user name but thats it:-(

Are you giving it long enough to load? My iPhone and iPad do take a while at times, don't know why.

  7. It's not a tribunal is it? No

Just an appeal to the employer.

Correct, and an appeal that'll make him look silly, if he's got anything between his jugs he won't even bother, would you in his position (I'm not suggesting that you would put yourself in that position) because I know I wouldn't (not that I'd put myself in that position either)!

  8. I must admit that it is a bold move from SC that shows intent on stability and long term within the club, whether or not it turns out to be a master stroke remains to be seen, LJ's spiel has certainly been a breath of fresh air and sounds more convincing than Penney and Dickov put together, I hope he's given the time and manages to bring in the players he needs as I think he'll progress on to being a decent manager in the future.

  9. Sorry but I am new to all this.

It appears that someone called Ackey does not agree with what I am saying so the subject has been locked(very adult)

I was just trying to make a point that unfortunately the people of this town do not give a :censored: about their local club as they are far more interested in clubs with more money/resources.

Hope we never get another world war as the Germans etc will probably have better tanks/planes etc than us.

There's a clip somewhere on the web of an amphibious main battle tank that the North Koreans have developed, reports are suggesting that they have removed the main engine and the generating unit engine and replaced them with 4 over sized oars on each side and that they are made from chobham armour to protect them from torpedo and air to sea missiles, they are looking at installing an outboard motor on the rear of the hull for the MK 2 as this would be hydro powered, quieter and much quicker...that would change the battle field forever!
  10. :censored:ing hell, is this a piss take?

I'm not for one minute suggesting he should be sacked, but how are our recent performances, League position or entertainment value worthy of a three year deal?

We are edging precariously close to the drop zone and the guy who is taking us there has just been given a long term contract...

To give the fans, or at least some, a feel good factor.
