I wasn't intending to be harsh, just pointing out the obvious flaw in the (correct) assertion that we always improve when he's involved, i.e that we should.

We might not do without his involvement.

Ah the written word, can sometimes be misinterpreted. Apologies my friend

    Guessing at 2,500.

We've won four in a row.

    We're Oldham.

    Eion Doyle is up front.

    Jack Byrne is in midfield.

My hero #26 is in defence.

    Johnny is in goal.

Plus Dan Gardener will be there.

    1-4. Unbeatable. Magic. Champions.

Seriousl, expect it. This team is capable and won't let us down. ?

    Eh...2,500, on a school night

And I even laughed as I went past a Blackburn fan coming out of the ground who was saying to his friend "We should have easily beaten that shit"

    keep deluding yourself ?

Big club innit....they dont think they should be in this league, and that we only have sunday league players. HAVE IT!!

    Really?

one of the finest footballers of his generation, a Latics fan and a local lad to boot and you feel underwhelmed.

FFS what is wrong with you people, we support Latics a below average 3rd tier football club and you expect something more exciting ?

I expect to be entertained, which at the moment Wellens is doing, and winning. What guarantee do you have that Scholes will do that.

I do have to disagree with you on that - Simon  Corney is very much interested In getting revenue streams into the club. I happen to know that the video where he pulled TLH signing off the Rochdale Road End was because they hadn't paid us their sponsorship fee (ironic I know)

Wish he had slapped a coat of paint while he was up there taking it down....its an embarrassing mess

How shit would that be, if they don't appoint the higher profile Seedorf or Correa it makes zero sense to appoint any UK based manager in preference to Wellens, unless an outstanding applicant put themselves forward.

You mean the outstanding applicant with a power point presentation, and a suit ready to wear while standing on the touch line. If I was Corney..I would say if it isnt broke dont fix it, but have a plan B.

  7. I  wonder what Burton thought, when they appointed Hasselbank. A lot of people where underwhelmed when Richie Wellens was appointed caretaker manager on Monday. There was nothing underwhelming about his debut on tues night. Seedorf would put bums on seats, and he must have enough knowledge if he is being considered. I would personally have RW as assistant than Tommy Wright.

You cant seriously believe a man who was part of the coaching team has magically turned everything round for us in a few days

The recent additions of Eoin Doyle, Kean Bryan, Jack Byrne and less recently Dan Gardner have give us a better chance to compete for sure but we've seen that in recent games

Really hope that Richie Wellens spell as Caretaker goes well and maybe he can become part of the new coaching team but giving him an extended run as our Manager, I think not

Where did i say give him an extended run as our manager?????. i said that i was happy for him to entertain us for now,  The manager picks the team, and tactics...not the coaches. Last night was the perfect example.

This is not a time for sentiment and certainly not about considering appointing ex players with no/little management experience at all

If we don't get this next Manager appointment right we seriously risk the drop into League 2 which holds the 'trapdoor to oblivion'

Chesterfield and Port Vale are currently in the bottom 3 of League 2, very similar Clubs to ourselves

A Manager of experience is critical now

I might have agreed, before watching the match last night. I am happy for things to go on behind the scenes, and let RW carry on and entertain us for now.
