I can't hear a word he says sat in the north stand am I omy one having this admittedly small problem?
What was it like last season? The guy who has done it for last couple of seasons was here pre-season but someone else has been doing it since the season started. Been harder to hear the new lad in main stand aswell.

Ripley
Dummigan
Clarke
Burgess
Dunne
McLaughlin/Croft
Fane
Green
Croft/ Jahraldo-Martin
Erwin
Mckay
Replace Flynn with one of McLaughlin/Jahraldo-Martin, we need someone who will stay out wide and stretch the game. McLaughlin might not have done much yet, but he hasn't been match fit and was highly-rated by Barnsley fans. Needs to play a few games to get match-fit, it won't happen getting 10,20 minutes here and there. Croft to replace Klok as he'll offer us a bit more quality on the ball.
-
On reflection, that was the least enjoyable game I've ever been to, all things considered.
It's a weird one as it was a crap game but both teams had some decent chances to win it.
-
Changes, not sackings.
It'll be Robinson that does any changes to the team not Corney.
-
Will that change though I got the impression today both Law and Dunne are not really encouraged to get forward both should have got forward more today. Certainly in the second half.
I think so, Motherwell fans said that Law wasn't an attacking full-back whereas we know Dummigan will overlap and Reckord looked to get to the by-line in pre-season whereas Dunne tends to stick further back.
-
Really?
Yes. They both look to overlap alot more than Law & Dunne.
-
What position did Flynn play for Sheff Utd?
On the lack of width, I think that will improve once Dummigan and Reckord come into the team, they are both more attack minded than Law & Dunne.
-
Great signing...is that the last one tonight? Last minute deal for striker perhaps to replace Cassidy?
Doubtful with Mckay, Erwin, Osei and Lapado. Think it has been mentioned that Glackin has spent some time training with first team aswell.
-
Forgot about McLaughlin, we now have 3 right backs.
Mantack, Wilson...
-
Excellent signing.
Will he play RB or RW? Thought he performed better as RB. Him and McLaughlin will provide plenty of pace down the right hand side.
-
10 minute warning
We think you might like this signing... #oafc ⚪️
Teasy bastards
Sounds like it'll be someone who has played for us before...
-
Yes, the emergency loan system has been scrapped. Loans no longer permitted outside the transfer window.
Free agents can still be signed outside the window though.
Goalkeepers are the exception to this if your back-up has played less than so many (10?) league games.
-
You're blind. This is the back door, and every fan who turns up for these matches is complicit in validating this arrangement. There were more fans there last night than we had at Bury. That's :censored:ing horrendous, no matter which way you look at it.
It's not really that horrendous when you consider it was a home game costing £5 to get in against football league opposition after 3 away games on the run.
Me too. Says a lot about our fans...
We were in the same bracket as MK - that's not somewhere you want to be.
If anyone ever wanted an example of a OWTB overreaction...
Many have said that they will watch us against league opposition and boycott games against U-23's. That is slightly different to supporting a team that has been moved 40 miles or whatever away.
-
I think that if we played an U-23 team at home the attendance then would give a better indication of how people feel.
-
Did Winchester offer anything in his 15min sub appearance?
Saw him sprint for the first time during a game.
If he is to make a career in football it'll out playing out wide like Johnson played him rather than in the middle. He doesn't have the stamina or the physical attributes to be a CM.
-
Maybe Erwin could play in the no 10 role with Ladapo and McKay up top I think Erwin will defiantly start Saturday as he's been excellent so far deserved a rest tonight, Green Fane back in Clarke, Law and Ripley back in Croft to start instead of Klock and I think Flynn will miss out
Alternatively, Mckay played the no 10 role in the second half and looked decent there.
It's nice to see we have a selection problem upfront due to players playing well rather than picking the least :censored:.
-
Whilst Banks looks to move the ball forward, he takes too long to do it. Always seems to need to take 5 touches and do a couple of turns before eventually passing. Poor set pieces aswell, even if he did score a cracking goal.
-
That's not a great sign, didn't he only come on at half time.
Nope, started the game and Osei came on at HT.
Edit: As Yarddog says above.
-
Can't remember seeing a worse keeper than Kettings. Arguably could have prevented all five goals and was their Man of the Match by a mile. Says it all when home fans gave him an ironic cheer the only time he came off his line to claim a cross. If Ripley gets injured we really are in trouble, but as soon as him, Clarke, Green and Fane come back, tonight's awful defence won't be a problem.
Upfront Lapado looks very impressive, and Osei turned the game around. I'd start Lapado and McKay on Saturday because they linked up pretty smartly at times. Good to see Winchester back who looked to attack, hopefully he can push himself back into contention now.
Not often you come away from a defeat feeling happy, but that was a really entertaining game tonight.
Its a weird one with Kettings. The two times he came he dealt with it relatively well by catching and then getting a decent punch on the ball. But most of the time he seemed :censored: scared to come off his line and the defence didn't help.
-
Played well tonight. Had one ruled out for offside, put himself about a bit and soon as he received the ball he looked towards goal. Faded second half which is to be expected, but their CB still couldn't catch him.
Looks like we will have decent competition with strikers for once with Ladapo, Erwin, Osei and Mckay (& Cassidy).
-
Burgess at fault for at least three of these.
Kettings also at fault for at least 2 aswell. Shocking defending at set-pieces from everyone.
-
Osei, brilliant.
-
Very poor, back 5 and midfield awful.
-
Is there only me who has a problem with how the League Cup draw works as well?
Only watched the draw for second round, but it seemed a stupid way of doing. Whats wrong with picking out one ball for the home team and then the next ball is the away game?
Back on topic, I'll be attending because it's against a league team. Any games against U-23 then won't attend.
