  1. Anybody remember the Mcilroy era.

He used to sign 4 or 5 Irish lads you have never heard of

every month and usually on a Friday.

Every home game there was several players making debuts.

Can see a similar thing happening this season.

We are in a worse place than Blackpool were last July.

    McIlroy??

  2. TP is too important for our youth set up. We make more money from that than from senior first teamer sales. Trotman, Philiskirk (twice), Tarky, Scott Spencer, Eaves, Coleman, Renshaw all sold to keep the club going.

If he got the job and it went badly, I'd hate to think that we'd have to sack him and lose one of the most important people at the club.

Although we also made a decent bit of money on first team players when LDJ was in charge.

  3. Interestingly, I've just spent the last week in Slovenia. After breaking away from the Titto regiem in the early 90's they lived a solitary life, fending for themselves until 2004 until they joined Europe. Since then they have seen wages rise by 20% but the cost of living by 47%, each and everyone of them see that joining the eu is a mistake and would leave at the drop of a hat, but they can't now. They work longer hours with little pay off. Whilst they agree with the freedom of movement and the trade benefits that the eu offers, they feel that we should leave due to the politics that the eu brings.

  4. Having a £100m a year turnover Chairman helps a lot! They will carry on upward for a bit I think. To be fair, their set up seems to be from the ground up, youth, fan and stadium wise. They are not flashing and flaunting the cash so much.

Although they have spent £8million on a new training facility...

  5. Against Liverpool in the 4th round of the cup

Was in the main stand paddock and saw the crowd in chaddy end surge forward when crash barriers gave way

People treated at edge of pitch

In those days the chaddy end capacity was 12000 and it was full in a crowd of nearly42000

12,000 in the chaddy!? I know with the seats removed the capacity would be higher, but was the stand bigger than what it is now?

  6. Thought Brown got the ball as well.Shez was having a word with the ref as he walked off at half time.Còleman for me is tons better keeper than flap jack but we still need another keeper. We seemed to play better with ten men and had chances but need a goal poacher in the box.Not convinced that Cassidy is the one.Good support and applause on 30 mins with Bradford fans joining in.Overall a more spirited performance but still a poor game but signs of hope today.

Was the applause for the fan who passed away recently?
