  1. He won't be cup tied as he didn't play yesterday. Please see below

Oldham Athletic have been drawn away at Nottingham Forest in the Third round of the FA cup. Matt Derbyshire the on loan Nottingham Forest striker will have returned to his parent club and could end up playing against his current team mates from Boundary Park. Oldham qualified for the third round following a 3-1 win over Doncaster Rovers a game in which youth sensation Mart Derbyshire scored 2 goals for the club.

    A) Cup-tied.

b )Youth sensation? He is about 30!

  2. IMO, it is a winnable game against a team not in great form, with fans who get on their team's back whenever they dont look like performing.

I live in Nottingham, and have been to the odd Forest game this season, including the 0-0 draw against Blackburn. If they play like they did that day, and we play like we did yesterday, we will do them over. Plus, any team that loses to Ipswich doesnt deserve a good cup run!

I think we'll be playing in a 442 formation (At last!) at least initially. Strong team on paper, surprised that Smith has been given a chance (again, at last!) but I reckon he'll do well tonight against a shaky scunny back 4.

  4. You'd think being in a crap 3 sided ground, with a shoe-string first 11 and dwindling support would make me jealous of your Franchise FC?

Give over, we have HISTORY, and granted, we may not be able to match you in terms of finances and players but in terms of commitment from the players and the devotion of the fans (which, may I add, I heard none of your lot sing at the ground today) we are a REAL club.

The fans I met after the game today were decent people. You, sir, have proven to be the cock of Milton Keynes. Congrats. See you in League One next year.

  5. I'm sorry, but today was a poor excuse for a game. I know Bury played their part in making it the dullest game of the season, but by god, what on earth has Dickov had the players doing all week?

Robbie looked like he couldnt be arsed, Bunn is NEVER going to be a lone striker upfront, and Millar's selection for NI baffles me still.

Yes we have 6/7 players aged 19/20, yes it was two games away from the end of the season, but the only good thing I can say about today was the crowd.

We need changes in every aspect of the team. It looks like Matt Smith will be our only contracted striker come next saturday if Kuqi and Reid are released, which is a worry.

I just feel that in terms of the costs of petrol, lunch and the game itself, the players could have performed a little bit more to earn their wage.

  6. Great, that's just what the players needed to re-build their already shattered confidence.

    I hate football fans sometimes.

I'm starting to dislike our own supporters. It's madness. We are where we are because a) People dont go, which leads to b)Having no money to buy a team full of decent players, ending up at c)Lower half of the league.

If i'm honest, some fans need to get a grip. We're doing well to survive in a league which is getting more and more competitive each season with not a pot to piss in, really. Yes, the management is poor at times, yes, the players arent all Pele's, but the will to do well is there.

What is the point of singing that to the players? Is that going to make Robbo et al stay next season? I think not.
