  1. 1. Well I go to Ashton Moss to the food halls there....and thats further away than FW (I live in Royton)

    2. BP being developed for housing and the Lancaster Club being redeveloped for a stadium and associated leisure facilites....hmm, two underutilised areas being developed and creating jobs?? that sounds like regeneration to me. You've also failed to recognise that the BP site would be developed in part for key-work homes which supports and ultimately helps safeguard jobs at the NHS (and police etc.). And what about the jobs at the FW site - the hotel, the leisure facilities, the food facilities, the cinema etc.

    <_<

And, getting back to the point in question, whilst Woolas gets in his political dig over SP2000, I think the good thing is, that he doesn't say anything alarming about the FW site which, hopefully would mean that, if Labour are elected in May, hopefully the plans wouldn't get ripped up - which is what Lib Dems did over Clayton. All round, I think them responses should provide us with some comfort, even if Alwyn and Kashif didn't seem to know too much about what they actually wanted.

At least Woolas' reply shows he has some knowledge of what has gone on and that he puts some thought into his reply...as opposed to 'I can't be arsed to read the proposal' and "I'm an egg-chaser'. Jesus...

  2. As it happens I remember an article about Scholes from quite a few years ago, it started with bullet points about what was known about him, one of which was, “he can hold his drink.” I guess the difference is that Scholes goes to his local and Taylor goes to a nightclub.

Scholes was in The Old Bell in Delph on Friday. Not at all drunk and behaving very well.

  3. For the first team ever, I will be missing the game because "I cant be arsed".

I've done every match this season bar Southend away and I missed that for reasons that couldn't be helped. If ever I have missed a game in previous seasons, it has been because I've either got no money or I have a prior engagement.

David Penis is sapping away my passion for the club at the moment.

    C*ck

  4. no that sounds bout right to me. i was in the chaddy there were a fair few empty seats rre had more probably and they obviuosly dint bring many only stand that looked close to full was main but could still tell it wasnt sold out. think the club would be pretty happy. wthout the offer we would have struglled to reach 3000 home fans so we have doubled it. u never no with the win we may even get a few of em back in

    So...some simple maths...6200 - 3000 (season ticket holders) =3200*2 = £6400

    Probable crowd without the £2 deal = 3800-3000 = 800*20 = £16000

Clearly some residual income on pies etc...but how many will come back and pay £20? Biggest issue for me is that we are overpriced on a normal day. £10-£12 to get in is what we are worth, and crowds would be better as a result.

  5. Very poor. Plus points were :censored: who has to start in centre mid from now on...and er Pav was OK. Colbeck v poor and nuff said about Brill.

For them, thought Trotters and Jaidi very solid, left back had a good game too. Lambert different class up front...suppose thats why he cost a mill.

  6. Many of you criticise the Trust Directors but when they put massive amounts of time in to run functions all profits are for the benefit of OAFC.

I was merely asking which individual or group benefits financial from these events which without OAFC have no theme.Like I am often asked please answer the question.

Given that ex-players are often involved is it a charity that benefits.?

    Barry

    PS

I happen to think such events are good social occasions

Maybe Blackpool, Burnley and Preston should get a cut of The Rifle Range's vast profits from the event as well then.

When Tony Blair makes a speech these days do The Labour Party get a taste?
