Well people have been complain about the lack of statements from corney.....if the club comes into the hands of the fans I fear the worst.

We MUST stay up get this stand built and if corneys heart is no longer in it (I wouldn't blame him with the abuse he receives) lets hope someone wants us.

The only instance i recall waa a mr rooney (the fat scouse one) while playing for ebgland while they were boo'ed off the pitch

I suppose with most grounds e.g. anfield the players walk down the steps out of a tunnel tonthe pitch where as we have stairs directly to the pitch

I dont mind where players come from, we need to trust LJ will assess them on skill not status which i am sure he will. We've had many players from the (so called) best league in the world and they havent faired much better.

Every player has to start somewhere.

Lots of signing will happen after 30th june when contracts expire and signings can be disclosed......no rush just get the right people in.

 

 

My 2004/05 home shirt is hopefully still on the ceiling in Angelo's Boomerang Bar in Rhodes Town.

Lovely place i need a few more shirts in order to plaster the all the bars i visit with a shirt/flag each. I ended up with a olympiakos shirt myself akd my brother got a panathaniakos shirt.

A few shirts of mine and my dads are in bars around Rhodes. Mainly the bars in afandou village, it was nice a few years back as the staff wore them the day we arrived and got everyone talking.

Sadly i think hes past it im afraid, we can't be signing cast offs from teams we should be competing with...not good enough for Juve not good enough for us.

I'll repeat what I've said elsewhere I think we need to thanks Chris for his previous loyalty and let him try his hand a higher level. If we wanted to leave our jobs for something better or even just something different would you expect this sort of spite from people (see the Muppets on FB). Football is a short career so its now or never. Would you want to live your life thinking what if?

I echo much of the above in thinking if we had an older head alongside Dickov we might benefit but I firmly believe as a club and a town we need some stability. If next year we have no improvement while the squad (hopefully not decimated) has had a pre-season to gel then it’s time for fresh ideas.

Strange though, how we have a goal poaching striker and a tough nut defender in charge yet this is majorly lacking in our squad all year.

Takes a lot to come back and apologies and we really do need every fan we can get to cheer on the boys.

With all their players fit Ferdinand will not play regular football for United any more... I'd expect Jones and Vidic to play with Smalling as cover, Ferdinand will be competing with Evans to play, if Smalling is needed at RB and can't move inside (when the De Silva twins are injured or suspended basically).

People are saying Evans is "the worst defender in the world" but whos 50p head was it that put him in trouble.....as much as I hate myself for saying this he got merc'd

If Ferdinand gets back in the england squad for a major competition i'll be shocked we have much better younger players coming through.

More saves and good 'uns from our very decent young keeper, what an improvement on Brill he is. Would just like to see a few more shut outs, but that's more down to an ever changing defence in front of him. Good start to your Latics career Alex, keep it up!

Great to see some support for the keeper not seen much in a few years (though not much to shout about) people forgot that Brill was only young and its easy to get your head down when you have the whole stadium after your head!

In truth Brill would never have been a great keeper for us as he was far to inconsistent. But i'd like to see latics kepp Cisak between the stick for years to come so we can have an experience man between the sticks we know we can trust...not a in one year out the next jobsworth.

I went for Fifa this year as they actually developed it correctly for the PC (and I get to play as oldham). Im very impressed with the difficulty of the defending as now when I play Online the players that would normally just crunch you as you are through on goal or run into you to win the ball have to try realistic defending which if your attacking with skilled players with the right tricks you can twist then inside and out.

Makes your tactics vital because you can either exploit the attacking areas with quick wingers or smash through the middle with tank like forwards.

Overall a good game so far...

Does anyone have any idea if you can add players from other platforms? currently im the only person i know who has it on PC and its kind of lonely without the witty banter :-(

Yet again Leon Clarke amongst the goals.After scoring hat-trick today I wonder how many Swindon fans are rueing the argument had between Clarke and the volatile Di Canio.

On a seperate note glad to see the three big men scoring today as well as Reid getting a good mention from the Gaffer for his effort as well as his goals.

I know we have our moaners like all clubs but now is a good a time as any to get behind the boys with our full support for the rest of the season. Football is about the ups and downs but we need to stay behind Dickov and Latics for as long as they are putting their blood sweat and tears into wearing that shirt.
