No defending the players from the manager.
"I'm really disappointed, as you can tell. Thoroughly, thoroughly p*ssed off"

In the playoffs, in arguably the most exciting year at Latics for a long time, yet I'm not looking to tomorrow. I just can't see anything past a poor performance and an away win. God, I wish we would sort this home form out.

If Oldham ever get out of this league, the one thing I will always remember is Dorking. I can honestly say they are fast becoming my second team.

Philiskirk will be on fire
Do you know he's only scored 26 goals in his entire footballing career , 13 of which were for Oldham. You're right though, guaranteed to score

Dose of reality. Not sure where this "winning machine" that Unworthy kept rattling on about during the fans forum is going to come from when we set up as we did.

Looks like we've got some more seat in.

Dungan Ferguson has been sacked by Forest Green following a run that saw Forest Green win just one match of the 18 he was in charge of, and subsequently Forest Green were relegated.

I know when Rhino arrived, quite a few were hoping for Duncan (myself included) instead. Unsworth certainly had a rocky start to life but it would seem Ferguson's went a bit deeper. Either way, in hindsight I'm glad we are where we are in relation to management.

Sides of the pitch getting a much needed upgrade.

Section from the Oldham Times today-
Royle cited Academy product Harry Vaughan's sale to Hull City as a recent example of this.
"Harry's done brilliantly. It was finding a platform where he could project himself and he's taken his chance and we wish him all the success, and if he achieves great things it's good all round," he explained.
"One thing the club has made sure of since we took over 10 months ago is that we've protected ourselves in all transactions, and all assets that we've looked to sell on.
"Sometimes you can't keep hold of a player if they want to leave and sometimes I think it's actually the right thing and I think Harry is a brilliant lad and it's just worked out well for him and it could do for us and Hull."
Certainly looks like we have a sell clause intact

Thought I'd start a thread where any improvements to the ground can be recorded. Obviously we've had the pitch recently (some good pics, courtesy of Dean Pickering on Twitter) but someone has also posted some pics of the new dugout.

See Scholes is picking up from where he left off
...and for an added dose of "ex-players and that", it was the one and only Cristian Montaño who scored the late winner

That is an amazingly bizarre appointment- I wish him well, always came across as a decent guy although mediocre as a player and forgettable as a coach and caretaker. Can’t help thinking that Bristol City will regret letting Johnson go - he’s got them as close to the Premier League as they are ever likely to I imagineI agree about Johnson. The stability of having the same manager could have paid off dividends over the next couple of years.

Banide and his assistant were both in the dugout - I don't know who the randomer on the pitchside bench was...
I'm not one to criticise the current french players...but I sit right by the dugout and every command barked by the Banide and his assistant (they got very vocal in the 20mins especially) was in French. How the hell the English lads know what's going on is beyond me. The language on the pitch today was basically french. This isn't going to work

I've been checking Twitter (sorry "X") intermittently all day, as I was so convinced there would be one.
Your manager has just told the fans to basically not bother renewing their season ticket as we won't be competing next year. Definite damage limitation required at this point!
