According to Sky Sports league predictor put up today we are on track to stay in League One for another year with a 31% chance of relegation. Bury have a 99% chance and Rochdale have a 92%
The Sky Sports predictor is based on a system called Elo, originally set up to rate chess players. It takes into account form, who your team still has left to play, and how well a team has done in previous seasons.

The resurgence under Wellens has been incredible. It was a 5-1 defeat that handed Wellens the job. If you had told me then in the aftermath of that match we'd be playing great open football and scoring freely I simply wouldn't have believed you, let alone believe we'd be the ones handing out the 5-1 thrashings.

What we do need right now is a defensive minded number 2. With someone like Shirtliff working with Wellens and we'd be a real force.

I'd love to know what happened between him and Sheridan. Tierney made it quite clear a few years ago he didn't want to leave Oldham at the time but a fall out with Sheridan over non footballing matters led to his exit
