  1. Honestly - our fans and stupid expectancy levels...

Not a chance in hell... he is a guy who has barely played for bury, we aint going to throw him in the deep end at a higher level...

To say he should play instead of Maher, a previous promotion winning captain who has played in the championship is madness....

We are in a position where we can blood young talend gradually... not throw them to the lions to get stick from over-expectant fans like we had to last season...

I agree on the over-expectant fans however i am also in favour of throwing players in the deep end as your point out he his young but fact we have no reserve team this season there is a chance he will be playing practice games only.

If Mather can last a full season injury free we do not know however if Gregan picks up a knock as he normally does Maher can fall back into defence and Stephens will have a few games under his belt.

  2. When Shez picks the starting 11 against Millwall i really hope he gives Stephens a start. Personally i have been impressed in the games i have seen this lad play andi know we keep saying he his one for the future but i would give him a start ahead of Maher myself get a few competitive games under his belt.

  3. Yes, and you can probably get blown by a selection of the world's roughest crack-whores in to the bargain whilst walking a good 2 miles to the ground and still have change from a tenner. I don't see why people don't just see that it will suit some people well enough to get dropped off at Spotland rather than making their way on public transport.

Just letting people know Lees Lover its there choice.

  4. What annoys me about this sort of game, it is the sort where some of our fans who normally cannot be bothered to attend away will game may decide to.

Where someone like myself without a season ticket but makes the trips to Grimsby and Rhyl could end up missing out. £27 or not for some fans they wont mind paying that if it is there only away game apart from Rochdale.

There should be some sort of database so the club and keep track of the ones who go to most away matches and give them first chance alongside season ticket holders.

  5. Im sorry I didnt notice earlier...Oldham fan or not he is a :censored:ing disgrace and I would of told him....

Sorry your night was ruined...was a great nigth overall!!! Hope your wife dosent think we are all like that :censored:!

Agree with OAFC0 previous it is the small minority which ruin it for the rest of the people as for the w**ker pouring a drink over her that was bang out of order and only added fuel to the fire.

  6. Hallworth was superb tonight in the final Daz Sheridan got into a little tussle handbags we had a good penalty appeal turned down.

Blackburn where poor and at 2-0 against Bolton having been poor they came back and took the lead. Against Bolton game went in there favour after they where awarded a penalty.

Looking forwards to next years already.

Any chance did anyone happen to tape it?

  7. What happened??

Went on right behind me but soon as I realised something was going down it was over... Someone said some Blackburn fans had thrown a pint at a Oldham girly... Dont know how true that was or what happened to cause it ???

You must of been sat a few seats from us i turned round and other supporters trying to break it up sadly the stewards seemed to evict those breaking up i saw the person throw a drink over her after it seemed to died down sure someone else will have a better account.

    Still great night of football.

  8. The fact we sang our hearts out for the full competiton was superb.

It also showed that no matter how well or bad we may do this season, if we are 7-0 up or 7-0 down there will always be supporters ready to chant and sing Ernie name to show that football is football and how much he meant to the club.

Great effort lads hopefully we can go one better next season. As for the Blackburn fan i thought the City supporter at the bottom was funnier.

Just a pity a few c**ts at the end of the final decided to kick off.

  9. Tickets are available on the day,we need another one for a member of the 'citeh massive'

( I have also told the good lady i need to buy it before 12 noon  )

Really looking forward to this me think the other clubs will be suprised at the level and number of supporters we are bringing.

  10. I have been impressed with J.P performances in both the Rhly and Grimsby game. His first season was not the best but nor was Gary Mcdonald, lets not forget Mark Allot won his critics over in the end.

Maybe the importance of being a team player has finally got through to JP.
