I would put his recent poor goal scoring record down to his court case possibly, plus the Championship level maybe a little out of reach, also players in a poor championship side.

Great signing however if he scores 4 in 6 he will be off back to hudders and we are back to square 1.

This kind of post is hardly down to opinions, it's disgusting of someone to say that Corney hasn't tried with all the resources he has to try and not only save the club at the start but keep it running. He's never ran away from it, and he's admitted he's always open to investment to take the club further forward than he can.

Corney is killing this club, every window we sell our best up and coming player. When our the fans going to realise that SC is killing the club, stripping it of its assets until there is no club left.

SC did not save the club 10 years ago he bought it because he and his chums thought they could make money. That failed and they have taken us from 6-8000 every week to 4000, we have gone from signing players like Gregan, Beckett, Lee Hughes to signing Lockwood, Kissock and Turner all from non league.

Where does this end?? Stockport County?? Simon Corney is killing this football club....

I'm lead to believe tarky turned burnley and blackburn down in the summer to stay here.

I have it on very good authority that Tarky wasnt happy with his offer from latics and looked around and got no offers and signed the OAFC offer. This came from a board member.

Anyone who things we will get a £1m is crazy. Doesnt help that the club keep saying they need additional funding for the stand. Everyone knows we need money and that reduces the value of your asset.

During the 1st Fans Foum LJ said he was HAPPY WITH THE BUDGET!!!! He said he could punch above our weight with that Budget.

Im not having the budget as an excuse. Yeovil did pretty well last year with a similair budget

A key thing for me was that he ran for the ball when we won the penalty, its shows he isnt going into his shell.

He is a defender, he hasnt scored 20 goals my xmas and or have 20 assits. People need to get real he is playing for a small club in League 1.

You have to put into consideration the financial position of our club which every other club will know. £500k is huge for us and everyone knows it.

If Tarky had left in the summer at the end of his contract, we offered him a deal so if he went elsewhere it would have gone to the tribunal, what would we have got for a 22 year old with 62 appearances??? £100k max

They are an established premiership club for a player that has only just become an established league 1 defender. Last season some fans were calling for him to get released.

Why does anyone think he is worth £1m?? I dont think it helps that our own manager is talking up his mistakes when your trying to get top dollar!!!

I understand the point your making, I went to the first fans forum and took in LJ and still do however I am beginning to ignore the LJ PR stunts.

Thats not me having a go at LJ i just want to see results improve, i want him to do well, I want him to win with Oldham, i like him I just dont want him to turn into Dickov with the same "unlucky" press conference.
