  1. If I remember rightly LJ said they had been made aware of the allegations prior to it being released

Also there were other factors that contributed to him being sacked

We don't know how many times he had been warned previously or disciplined

At the time he was also facing rape charges, so all in all I would suggest he's got no leg to stand on

I would expect this to all be a bluff, get his name back in the media as an innocent person, become the victim and hopefully get a deal in the UK. If CMS have done there own investigation (on behalf of the club) then I'm confident it was all done properly

  2. I'm sorry I should explain my meaning

The fact that Peterborough have the ability to sign a player of CMS calibre gives us an insight into the level of wage bill that Peterborough have available.

The fact that we are above Peterborough in the league on a much smaller budget would point towards Lee Johnson not only putting together a value for money squad but also his tactical/coaching ability must have something to do with it.

If you disagree please let me know.

  3.

I would take four points and progression to the next round of the JPT out of the next three games.

Bloody hell, id rip your hand off for 2 wins and a draw from our next 3

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, these next 3 are possibly the 3 toughest we will have all season

We could easily look at it next Sunday and have nothing, or just as easily have won all 3, it's one of those seasons where I'm not surprised by anything!

  4. Something that always stuck with me was when Josh Low constantly struggled with hammy issues and that turned out to be his back

Whatever it is, whether he's the next big thing or not, if he's a crock Oldham aren't in a position to hope for the best. Awful situation for the young lad but if there is no improvement between now and May I can't see any reason why we would keep him on

  5. Funny story about Richard Butcher

At the time of his signing I was living in Lincoln and knew all about him. I was told he was a neat footballer with a good engine. I recall a game at Barnsley, I think he scored or had an ok game but still got stick. The Tuesday after I was enjoying a quiet drink in Lincoln and saw him out with Alan Marriot (lincolns gk at the time) and the chief exec of Lincoln. I decided to approach them and offered Richard Butcher a drink to apologise for the stick he was getting from an Oldham fan

6 hours later, visits to 2 different strip clubs and not paying for another drink all night I witnessed the hand shake that took him back to lincoln

The guy was a legend in my eyes, very personable and after the stick he was getting was totally within his rights to tell me to do one. Such a shame he is no longer with us

The worst player in my time of supporting oldham has to be Barry Prenderville

  6. With any business that is failing there always has to be a plan or strategy to turn a failing business into a successful one.....what is Corneys plan?

Doing the same thing year in year out and hoping for the best isn't working!

If the plan is make as much as quickly as possible and then sell our one asset to even the books so be it but it strikes me as very risky! We need some invention a different way of thinking

  7. Anyone with any kind of footballing knowledge will know that Lee Johnson could possibly be the best thing to happen to Oldham Athletic in 20 years

New ideas, New ways of working, these are the things that will set the teams apart that can't spend £250 million in one summer

The people who are calling for LJ to leave will be the reason this club dies, and that there is a FACT
