1) I'm still angry, I can't believe anyone still backs the salesman.
2) Nah, not really, just giving Matt credit as he was even more vocal than me but has died down a wee bit, probably apathy setting in a wee bit.
3) ?
4) Splinters in my arse pal. - like I said previously, at least i'm consistent, I'm really struggling to understand why you've all been taken in my hechat:censored:, we're going down, WAKE UP!!
Exactly.

Just watched his Latics player interview. "Proud, excellent performance by the lads." Very, very worrying if they're his honest opinions.
-
So where are you suggesting the money's gone?
Is something criminal going on?
I'm not suggesting anything criminal, I'm suggesting he's fibbing about where the money goes. I think it goes is his and Blitz' back pockets. It's an opinions game, you either think the club is well run by him or not. I'm sick of us selling our best assets. He gave Johnson a contract extension because he wants continuity but as soon as we get any he ships our best players off for nothing.

Strange Byrom came with the reputation of being a creative midfielder, yet he was playing well behind Wesolowski.
Today's line up with Clarke- Harris on his own up with no support whatsoever showed a frightened approach to the game, they got the point LJ will be satisfied with, but Crewe were poor and there for the taking with more attacking ambition in the awful first half.
Good job Harkins is here otherwise there would be no hope at all.
Man of the match Lockwood, Worrall a massive let down.
Agree, Byrom was very deep. Worrall looks scared to run at the full back, worrying.
-
They just stop the club running at a loss.
I don't believe him for a minute. Every other club gets by without an annual game against Liverpool and selling off their best assets for peanuts.
-
JCH is an impact sub I've said this time and time again. We had a couple of chances to kill the game off. Why were we time-wasting after their equaliser? Set up to play for the draw from the first kick.
-
To all the people to are to quick to judge, :censored: OFF we don't need u at our club. Real hard core fans only, good times and bad!!!! Support the team and manager
So unless you sit back and happy clap when your club is declining you're not a real fan? Ok.
-
what's to bleed?
The transfer fees, the cup runs etc etc
-
Credit to this new web monkey, he's doing a great job. The Twitter account has vastly improved, too.

I've not clapped a performance (other than Tranmere) for a while. I often don't say anything and just go at the end, pointless booing gets you nowhere. Why be negative? We severely lack ability but the team that started the season isn't at our disposal anymore which is massively disappointing.
Philliskirk could be something special, again when he is match fit and on form but you don't have the same feel with philly as you had with baxter.
As for the corney doesn't pay the bills 0000 who does then? Not gate receipts, we don't get enough to pay the bills alone. Corney may be tight but it is his money and it's his business so I think he has a right to! It's frustrating as a football fan and an Oldham fan but hey that's life and no matter who puts on a blue shirt we will still support them no matter what league they are in
I've never abused a player at a game, ever. Corney needs to invest if he wants success rather than selling our best assets for peanuts when he claims to want continuity. Invest in better players =higher up the league=higher attendances=more cash coming into the club.
-
I've only been negative since the Shrewsbury game, I knew what was ahead of us. Before that I believed every word Johnson said and was as happy clappy as they come, I even stretched to the point where I'd convinced myself Philliskirk was better than Baxter for scoring a few in the paint pot. People always say moaning at games is no good but neither is clapping after a gutless performance.
-
What's the option? Corney pulls out what are we left with then? Who pays the bills and keeps the club running? I think we should be thankful to corney for coming in 10 years and sticking around when his counterparts pulled out.
Vendetta against Johnson, every point slates him, criticising him for things that he's either not done or things beyond his control. You've not really explained my points and i'm struggling really to see why you would get rid of him. At the time we were fine, playing with a bit of confidence, football sneaking in and were confident of getting results.
Things have changed since then but these next 10 games we need EVERYBODY'S support to help us limp over the line and criticising him for half the things you have in my opinion is unjust but each to their own
FFS I just said I wouldn't.
-
it really does sound like you want him out, bad decision for giving him a longer contract? Good idea at the time and most said it. Every post you put seems to be a jibe at Johnson or Corney or both so answer me how is he arrogant?
Good idea at the time? We were one point above the relegation zone. Christ. Just because I criticise somebody it doesn't mean it's personal and I have a vendetta against them. Reasons quoted by Dec and I hate how everybody is up Corney's arse, he's bleeding this club dry.
-
Didn't we have a thread where someone defended those feeling negative by saying that despite negativity, none of them would ever be so negative as to wish their team to lose....
..... not 1, not 3, not even 7...
but 10 games?
I honestly don't believe any true Oldham Athletic fan would want the team to go down/lose just so they can have a good moan, it's a load of bollocks.
-
So much for due diligence on all incoming transfers, absolute sales man tosh.
I hope we lose every game until the end of the season so this little :censored:er gets the bullet.
The fact i'm excited at potentially going to around 15 new grounds in League 2 rather than stay in the :censored: hole of a division League 1 with that con man is worrying but also understandable.
Been banging this drum since October and took a lot of unfair abuse, even though I gave valid reason for my opinions, it's refreshing to see people jump on the band waggon that perhaps 3 or 4 were on, but it's also annoying as some of you on here are the one's that gave me and Postman Matt in particular dogs abuse and are now saying the exact same things.
ps, we were doomed to fail right from day one when we discovered David Mellor would be playing centre half. I thought it was a good idea playing out from the back but shocking putting a centre midfielder there.
Sorry young man, it's time for you to do the decent thing and resign. Don't ask me who I want in, I don't care, just get him out ASAP.
Newport away first game, sounds a good piss up :-)
You're definitely ChaddyEndFred....
-
I agree, everybody get down to Gresty Road on Saturday. Biggest game of the season.
-
Barry answer questions? Now now.
Probably not, somebody called him a nasty name last year.
-
So Sheff United will have nothing to play for (and might be resting/protecting players for the Cup Final in May?) and Notts will be down by then! So that's 6 points!
That simple, eh.
-
And FYI I'm not in the 'Johnson out camp'. I'm very frustrated with our Chairman, though.
-
Where do you get that he's arrogant? Vendetta against Johnson for what reason, a few bad results and a few mistakes? The best make mistakes. I'm not saying he is brilliant but what's the point in chopping and changing?
Vendetta for saying he's arrogant? Right.....
-
I'm not so sure, the money men must be getting twitchy, in fact another performance on Saturday like the two we've just witnessed and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a parting of the ways.
He's got what, 4 years on his contract? There's no way Corney would pay him off, Johnson is to arrogant to resign.
-
He's not going anywhere, whether you like it or not.... I said at the time it was a terrible decision, there's nothing we can do. Maybe it's time for Barry to come on and answer some questions.
-
Without Smith's goals at the end if last year we'd have gone down.Yeah, the legends they are. Never been the same without Simpson and Mvoto and miss all those goals Smith scored for us in the league...
-
The fact Johnson was appointed just shows the lack of ambition, he was the cheap option. Calling for his head is useless, he's not going anywhere..

He could say it was a poor performance without naming names...
