Brown and Belezika?
-
According to Matt Chambers, two of the trialists that featured were Portuguese. That's one reason to be out there I guess!
Athletic got through the game, which featured four trialists including two from Portugal, without picking up any injuries. -
Reece Brown returning is believable.. Dickov stated he wanted to bring him back at end of last season..
O'Grady..? Na, he's on £7k a week now Sheff Wed are in Championship, if he was to leave then he'd have better offers in League one than us..
Clarke.. Unless he's at least halved his reported wage demands then don't think theres much chance of it..
From what I've gathered about the Clarke deal though, it appears it's just Charlton that are acting as the stumbling block. I think the 5k p/w rumour may have been nothing more than just that.

New stand replica anyone ?
How I miss that old thing!

I have wondered this myself actually. I don't think it's really about muscle strength as such.. more muscle endurance. I.e. continuing through fatigue which sets in quicker in the heat. When back home, fatigue wont set in as quickly and when it does they should be more adept at playing through it.
I don't know though, best to ask a physio/sports scientist I guess!

Could well be a publicity stunt. I don't think it's any secret that Hughes may want rid of Barton (and rightly so) but could Sheff Wed come close to his apparent 80k p/w salary?
I can't source the salary figure, though I definitely read it to be that around the time of the most recent incident. Either way, it will be hefty..

Tiresome. When did "choosing not to go" and "boycotting" become synonymous? If you don't want to go, don't go. Let others make their own mind up.

Just read on the official website that we have taken a squad of 20, including two trialists. Naturally I presume that two of the three that played at Mossley will be going.. But I don't think the club would gamble spending money taking two players that weren't almost dead certs to sign?
Perhaps more will become clear as the week progresses, I think Matt Chambers is going out there too so I'm sure he will be able to shed some light on it.
-
Two Tarky's I see.
-
Not dead yet this deal......Would like it to happen personally.
Any elaboration on this, or just a hunch?
-
In the squad tonight. Unless that's
M'Chamagama as the website reports. Probably a completely different person.
-
Would love him to sign - M'Voto and Byrne could be a great partnership!
Additionally, you'd hope he could become the ideal mentor for Tarkowski both on and off the field.
-
Did he not make some remark on his twitter account after playing against us once this season that he'd never play for our ":censored: club"?
-
Well I see that this has been productive..
-
Presumption being if he plays for the Cosmoros, his registration etc. will need to go through them regardless of other nationalities. Just a thought, could be wrong.
-
Yeah as he is training with us suprised he hasnt already, out of interest if he is training with us and his deal ran out 1st july is he being paid?
Has to be unless his deal is up on a different date this month, or we have done him a treat there, must be a job of wages
He is a Cosmoros national I presume, so more likely a case of waiting for international clearance?
Duel-French citizenship will allow him to be here to train, perhaps a little more complicated trading information with the Cosmoros FA.

Can you also do one for my wall? And one for when I'm at work, cheers.
-
Really pleased for him. He's done very very well to stay in this division. He's a good lad, works hard and deserves this opportunity. Good luck Paul!

My mate who supports MK said he heard he is going crewe
Tee hee hee, well this is a fun game.
I bumped into Taye Taiwo in London 3 weeks ago, he said he had never heard of Tom Taiwo or Oldham Athletic and had nothing else to offer me except his signature.

So, in very simple language; ATLAS and CMS have independently discovered a new particle mass ~ 126 GeV which behaves like SM Higgs.
GeV stands for GigaelectronVolts, a tiny unit of energy (approximately 0.00000000016 Joules). So to clarify that further, making use of mass-energy equivalence (yes, E = mc2) the Higgs mass is approximately 0.000000000000000000000000002kg - I think I have my zeroes correct there - an excellent use of both work time and work's calculator. Though of course this is only the particle element, it is expected that similar to light it will appear to co-exist as both a wave and a particle.
If anybody is really interested in this, or has questions - I can do my best to answer (4th year of an Astrophysics degree).

pun intended?
Naturally.

Just watched his interview on LP - seems a very articulate, grounded, professional guy. Perfect for a full back role, pretty similar to K. Lee!
It's usually a bad omen, but I'm getting a little bit excited about this season now...
-
Another name for the hat - a Hun I work with reckons he's heard that, having made good his escape from the Deathstar that John Fleck had been linked to us.
Seems unlikely to me. He has a lot of raw talent, probably enough for a bigger club to take a gamble. He will have been on more at Rangers then we can offer him too I would expect.
-
Would it?
On the pitch maybe - get him fit & trim and keep him that way-possibly.
Off the pitch and he's a nightmare - I know from meeting him on a night out in Sheffield he gets up to some not very good for you and not very legal things on nights out - south american organised walking type things.
He's 'Brap', big time and attitude stinks.
He would definitely fall into 'not worth the off-field hassle' bracket for me. Shame, as on the pitch, if you can get him fit & motivated; he's a very decent striker at this level.
An interesting insight, I mostly formed my opinion based on his goals in a very poor Chesterfield side last season. Looking at his career record, I'd say he just needs somewhere he can settle, and he will score goals. If that place could be Oldham, with the guidance of PD & GT I still think he'd be worth the gamble.
Who is this ?

Maybe, my logic is that Tarky played centre back alongside Belezika, and he's wearing 5.
