  1. Good side barnsley. Won't be surprised if they sneak the last playoff place. If they don't and they keep that squad then it'll be a good shout to win the league next year

We were unlucky first half with injuries. Meant we didn't really get going and barnsley carved us open a few times. Goal was coming.

Didn't expect anything at half time but good spirited 2nd half got us back into it. Main and forte were superb and caused them problems all night.

Cassidy is an embarrassment. His only contribution tonight was to miss the ball for the goal - hes robbing a living as a footballer and I hope we somehow get rid in the summer. All he did all game was show no desire, forget how to jump and whinge at the players who were running their arses off all night.

Coleman deserves credit. He kept the score down a few times in the second half and pulled off some cracking saves.

Thought we were going to hold on but not to be. Silly challenge for the pen. No need to dive in and got done by a clever little routine from barnsley.

Barnsley have to have the worst home fans in the league. 8000 at home in a key game to help propel them closer to the playoffs and not one song heard all night.

Was a free night in some respects and I'd have rather lost tonight than any of the recent ones we've won

  2. That would be my worst nightmare. Can't make the 1st game next season. Peterborough at home would be just lovely...

Me too. It's my sisters wedding so hoping for Plymouth/bristol rovers to come up and face then away.

If it's bolton away I'll have to explain to my sister why I've missed half her wedding day

  3. Southend and millwall??

Yes tough places to go but southend are 8 points behind with 6 games to play for. That's a tough ask and realistically a lot of fans and players could have wrote the season off already and be thinking about their holidays.

Alternatively millwall are likely to have sealed a playoff place by the time we tip up there. They've very winnable games in their next 4 games.

Crewe will be down by the time they come here and covs season has collapsed already.

  4. Warning on the OS now about not travelling without tickets, with Fleetwood saying they'll only be selling to people with local addresses. Good job there are no maps or anything like on the internet, eh?

    http://fleetwood.streetmapof.co.uk/w/

Plenty of kids at the shop near the ground last year. Sure one of them will gladly go and buy a ticket for the home end for a quid or two.

Love how they try to make out there'll be no chance of getting in ? sensible thing would be to send another 500 over and move their fans up to the next blocks in the side stand- like we had to do when burnley etc brought thousands and came in the paddock. It's not like they come anywhere near to filling the ground. They only get 2000

  5. Couldn't afford the offer at the time it was advertised as I had just lost my job and have only just found new work but great initiative which has worked well for the fans. My only worry is I reckon there will be some fans who didn't take up the offer who will now complain at having to pay £150 more than others.

Not a moan by me but it's something that came up with the group of lads we were sat near yesterday.

Probably the same dicks who were on Facebook and Twitter saying they won't get one as we won't win a game in the 4 and don't fancy watching league 2 football for 350 quid

Same lads who moaned they had no money to afford one yet spent £80 on away days.

Everyone knows they come out this time every year. So don't get how people don't put as little/much away as they can each month in preparation.

Obviously circumstances such as yours are a rarity and understandable but there was loads who slagged the club off for the offer who simply had an axe to grind with Corney or didn't fancy the potential of Barnet at home on a Tuesday night for 350 quid. No sympathy for any who fall into this bracket who now have to stump up about extra 150 quid

  6. Disagree.

This will have lost the club more money than it earnt them.

Before the offer there was loads saying they weren't going to renew. We were 2nd faves for the drop and looked doomed. No one will ever know how many people wouldn't have bothered next season. I wouldn't have myself if we'd gone down and looking at the teams in league 2 doubt I'd have stepped foot in BP next season the 3 lads I go with were all the same. So there's a grand the club have at present they wouldn't have seen had they not done anything to entice and try to keep people interested

Our budget is never going to compete with the elite of th8s league. Burton and to lesser extents Walsall and dale prove you don't need big budgets to do well

  7. The budget would have been even worse had there been no offer and people stuck to their word and not bothered renewing. Like so many had threatened to do.

Great offer and if we stay up on the back of 2/3 home wins then happy days

League 1. 6 clubs who will bring 1600+

League 2. No club who will bring more than 600 bar pompey who will probably go up

  8. My missus of four years follows the games purely to see how pissed off i'll be when I get in. She doesn't like football but will pretend to take an interest.

She's been a couple of times to the big games but hasn't fully forgiven me from when I uppercutted her celebrating matt smiths Everton equaliser.

Comprised this year and got my first season ticket since we got together....with the stipulation being that I wouldn't do away games. By August id got that upto 5 and now I think she's stopped counting as I've already passed that.

  9.

I didnt realise we were just comparing the Rochdale Road end? We shall have to agree to disagree. I think Spotland is a dump. I live relatively close to it, attend many game and I've even sponsored a game there so I am fully versed with their facilities. Sticky carpets, stained walls et al. To say their lounge is vastly superior to what we will CLEARLY have in the new stand soon is bollocks.

Think he's on about studds bar under the stand behind the net where you can go and have a half time pint. Facility wise that is better than what we have

You're right though. Spotland as an area is a :censored:hole. Its like having BP in the middle of Fitton Hill.
